So you bought a JDM without knowing how to install it or doing any research and not even knowing if will drop in...is it an AWD or FWD engine? Next you are too lazy to do a search and are are happy to admit it. Hmmm yeah I am guessing people will be tripping all over themselves to help you out. Good luck with your swap

So how do you tell if is a front drive engine, I assumed the only difference would be the transmision and maybe the oil pan.

No offence James, but you might be better off getting someone to do the swap for you.Metalex,Magnus etc.the links I provided above only give you the basic differences in swapping a 1g in a 2g and a normal swap.Not step by step instructions on the whole job.good luck on whatever decision you go with.

I own a shop in my home town and I have done lots of swaps typically small block s10s, I just got my dsm 2 weeks ago and am new to this field, there is a shop in ottawa that will do it but the labour is pretty expensive and I am pretty sure I can do it , he said the mounts need to modified?
and I need the dsm link for the missfire code.

does the dsm link do any thing else?
