Just wondering if anyone's been there and if they have knowledgeable\professional people. I'm planning on getting my exhaust done there since I like the price, just wanted to know if they do a good job..

thanks in advance.

Tony,

hehe. Well, they're 1300 or so, and A-Spec does it for a grand straight with everything (3" turbo-back, SS, mandrel bent, downpipe). I'm a poor motha sucka and 300 is a lotta cash for me [Linked Image]

I am just as poor, it just happened that master's was the cheapest I found at the time, and now, I can vouch for their work.

I spoke to same guy today on the phone from V-Spec, and was suppose to go there to check it out.....the only problem I had I couldn't find the damn place.

$300 for a stainless steel 3" downpipe, can't go wrong, they also do porting job.

Gonna try it another day.

You should lose that sig, Bobby, it's misleading. If you were *really* broke, like some of us, you'd follow our lead and make your own exhaust, or settle with a lesser system. (:

Julio at A-Spec is a class guy. If he's the guy doing your downpipe, then you have nothing to worry about.

Ummm, he's like A-Spec's equivalent of Arnel (sp?) at Magnus -- he knows his work and works hard.

Okay, Bobby. Fill us in. Let us hear what ya gotta say...

I have no probs with Magnus, but I also have no probs with A-Spec. For my car, A-Spec's the better shop.

You can't be trash talking a shop without backing it up. I'm seriously curious about what you gotta say.

bobby, i'm hoping you don't go by the words of my competor. of corse there going to say bad things about me. i'm not going to start bashing anyone judge me yourself. all I could say is I will do yours or anyones turbo back exhaust for $1000 installed if you don't like it I will remove it and put your's back for free. remember my exaust is full 3' mandrell bent 304 grade ss not the cheaper 409 ss and it's hand made not on a pipe bender it take 4 to 5 hours to make.
I guarantee you show anyone the exhaust they will say it's great for the money and you will love it to. thats all I have to say thanks

Is that including a Muffler, if so what type. And what do you do with the downpipe flange? If I bring in a ported O2 housing will you be able to make the flange/pipe to match.

Steve,

All I'm gonna say is, you know the story about you and Marco. I am not gonna go on a spree trying to ruin you; I will just goto Magnus and leave it at that.

I'm not gonna start nothing or get too far into trash-talking-- all I'll say is anyone who wants to know can give Marco a ring and find out for themselves.

hi vince the mufflers I use are saber mufflers. they are made of 304 ss life time warr. They come straight though or chambered with any tip you want. As for the flange to make it is no problem.

Well, Marco's had his moments as well, I'd imagine... (:

I let shops work on my car when I have the money and don't have the time, but I can watch and tell when they're making a mistake or trying to screw me...

From doing it myself, it doesn't take much to build an exhaust if you have the bends pre-made, and a MIG/TIG welder. It's a pipe. As long as it's Stainless, and the welds are good and then painted/rustproofed some way, how can you go wrong?

The problem is most of us don't have access to a MIG/TIG welder. [Linked Image]

Not to brag but here in FL I had my 3inch down pipe(includeing removal of cat. And 2 1/2 all the way back to the muffler for 250$ Special thanks to all by my buddies at Japtrix. Maybe you guys should drive down to FL. Seems like it would be cheaper.... [Linked Image]

Adam:

Thats cool and stuff but we're talking about 304 stainless, 3"downpipe, high flow cat, muffler, tip, and of course 3" pipe all the way through.

It's a little different. There's that and the fact that in the states all sorts of people have mandrel pipe beding machines.
In Canada, there isn't one in the whole country. No one can afford one.

I am talking about 304 stainless. Yea pipebenders are all over here. I was told the 3 inch vs 2 1/2 was double the price and hardly any gain. Esp if you are running no cat. You guys ever consider maybe getting them custom bent here and shipping them in sections??

Just a thought

That's how we buy them bro, it's still works our to more or less the same thing. It isn't that we don't have pipe benders, we most certainly do, we dont have MANDREL pipe benders, $1000 is about the going rate and it's even considered really cheap if you also get a 3" inlet high flo cat.

Besides it isn't the gain you get by just popping it on, it's the gain you get when you finally strap on a 20G and want to pump 22+psi out that thing, you then need that 3" badly, but I guess that could be argueable.

Steve, is there any warranty on the exhaust?

I think Steve Leigh knows someone around here that will do a stainless exhaust and he gives a lifetime warranty. Steve correct me if I'm wrong.

Well, I don't expect many people have a TIG welder in their shed, Jeff. (: But it's not such a hard thing to get a local muffler shop to weld together for you, if you'd worked out the general route you wanted to run, had the stock exhaust to look at, and pre-supplied the bends and pipe...

Hi Vince, my work and the downpipe has a life time warranty. Right now we MIG weld them. In about 2 weeks we get our brand new TIG welder. Right now we are in the middle of moving to our new multi-level facility. We will be back in action in the first week of April, all the parts for the exhaust are in stock call me 416-674-3888. thanks

Thanks Steve, eventually I will call but I have other car issues I have to deal with first. But I would like to have a nice exhaust by the end of the summer.

Just my 2 cents

I recently picked up some parts from these guys and Steve gave me a great price on what I needed and the service was good. I prefer to do my own work because I do enjoy it but if I was looking for some one to work on my car I would talk to them.
