Might have been me. Who knows. That was so long ago.
If anyone is interested in how there car will run against a srt-4 in Durham area just let me know. Win or lose I don't much care, just doing some tuning and I want to know how I fare against the beloved Talon.
I am in the market for a awd tsi 92-94, so if you know anyone selling.
Mods on my srt include wga, intake, mbc, mapclamp, w/i.
And for those who are wondering, yes it's a Neon and I can't stand the other SRT-4 owners who think it's not!!! For christ sake, look at it!!
Later
If you let up, even for a second, that is where you will finish. '05 srt-4 . many mods '92 Talon TSI AWD - Sold a while ago '98 Mustang GT - Sold a while ago

The Neon's are good on the HWY but off the line they suck A$$ , I ran a guy with Stage2. Off the line with the AWD we have the advantage, on the HWY these things are quick the Moded ones anyway. The guy with the Stage2 was comming hard in 3rd but when I went into 4th 1/4 was over and I had him by 2 cars, I didnt even launch that hard

I like the srt 4 a bit and test drove one. Havne't raced against any yet. Sure will sooner or later. I think if they offered them two door and awd they might sell even better but also hear this is last year for them or is there a 2006 model or what? Can't see why they would drop the car thought they were selling decent. The neon is getting a bit old in the tooth though so maybe they just want a nice new replacement for it. And maybe that one will be offered in 2 door awd flavor just in case someday decide to sell my 2g and go newer. As it is now only awd turbo thats serious competition is the subaru sti and wrx stuff and its also 4 door and pretty ugly although it does sort of grow on you after awhile. I would mabye by a wrx for winter driver but my 2g is too pretty to be put thru our crappy Sask winters.
One thing have to say is met a srt 4 fan a day or so ago and he is telling me his buddies now totallled off stage 3 ran 10s. I don't really believe that. Also seen a lot of wild time claims for stock turboed srt 4 and find it hard to believe them either. Anyone can pick up someone elses timeslip.

The neon replacement is called the caliber and its some kinda awd mini suv or some crap like that.

A buddy of mine's GF (he said she's an awesome driver) did a 13.7 in a bone stock SRT-4. This isn't PROVEN but I don't see why he'd say that to me if it wasn't the case. Who knows.

one persons interpretation of stock is anothers interpretation of modded.
Guy was telling me that he ran 13.5 with his stock 89 Mustang. I called BS, and after his ego allowed it and he realised that I had actually raced a few times, he let on that he had a 3.73 limited slip, sticky rubber h-pipe with flowmasters and a K&N.
"but its still stock inside..."
this pertains to the SRT4 because with most of the performance options you can't even see the mods, and with race gas in there(not stock fuel for sure) you could gain alot.

I've seen an srt4 run against a mean looking orange muscle car that was kicking the crap out of these little civics. Anyway, this guys laughing at the civics, and then out of distant corner, the crowd went silent after hearing the ppsssshhhh!. We all looked and saw this nice silver srt4 slowing down and the crowed went wild. Mr. Muscle car dude said bring it on. He did, and won. Muscle car dude got really "T'd off" and made some stupid excuse about a bad the srt guy cutting him off or something. Later on that night, I asked the guy about his mods. He replied, seat belt pads. aother than that, pure stock running 8 psi. I would love to test drive the srt4, but however I would not consider purchasing one. My Talon just might accuse me of cheating on her and expensive parts may start breaking

I played with an SRT-4 on the highway in my stealth (twin turbo,AWD)... actually kept up better than most camaro's etc. but after playing I put a few cars on him... God I miss my stealth... sitting in the driveway with a spun bearing. I even put DSM intercoolers on her (with a bit of modification) Oh well... rebuilding my 92TSi AWD now. Back to the talon game. Stealth costs too much.
