1st time that I dealt with Magnus was through my car dealer, buddy ripped me off, but after speaking to Marco he decided all of a sudden to throw me a tranny.
Marco's dad went to Crappy Tire to buy a flex section for my NT, all the work was done on the spot, and it was done right. Marco also let me walk around the shop and scope out all the cars, Nick's car was in pieces at the time...
Had the shop look at my prospect car, Marco's dad stood there and watched over everything to make sure I was getting a good look, he then took a look himself, found just a couple of things...nothing major...
All in all my experiences with Magnus and Marco have never been unpleasent, and before anyone points out the fact that I got Neostyle Motorsports Stickers on my car --> that's where the previous owner did all the work, I give them credit for the progress thus far...For all u newbies or guys that never dealt with Marco call him up and talk to him, you'll see he is a nice guy.
It's not a Talon, it's a Talonol... And now it's in the garage with a connecting rod sticking out...

Well Marco, I dont know you or your mechanics, but I have called from time to time to get an experts opinion on things, since I started wrenching on my Talon. My car has never been near your garage, the only experiances I have had are a few brief conversations with one of your mechanics. Every time they were right on. From bolt sizes to thread pitches to hardness, torque specs on certain bolts, the guy(s) knew their sh!t, and took the time to talk to me. When I call a local shop about my woes, they are like, WTF? bring it in and we will charge you $100.00 to put it on the hoist. Props to you and your shop, I wish you all the best. Ok, Im done.
Back in the garage again.... This time for a serious working over.

Ya and all those cheques he writes to me don't bounce.
He's helping to put my kid through university with the amount of parts he orders from me!
Oh ya and he's done everything from rebuild my tranny to yanking my balance shafts out, good guy and great bussiness to deal with.

Magnus bashing just plain makes me shake my head in disgust. I mean for real now, they build and campaign a low 10 DSM yet any minute mess-up is held under a microscope. What Marco said about feedback is 100% accurate - because when people feel they have been wronged everyone hears about it. Well it is time to inject some positive elements back into the equation. Magnus Motorsports seriously rocks, the depth of knowledge and creativity seen there is outstanding. I have taken my car to several dealerships and some shops that I could write a book about how they jerked me around - but why bother - try and correct the situation and move on. On the hand, Magnus has worked on my car over a dozen times and it always turns out perfect. I'm giddy like a schoolgirl when its completed cause I know its going to better be better than before. I'd say the only drawback of Magnus is it is too busy. Some businesses would love to have that problem. So my advice to you if you are thinking of getting mods or maitenance done, don't trust other shops and have never been to Magnus - do it and you will soon find that those bitching are just that. ROCK ON!

I totally agree. I'm a first timer with him too. I wish it was under different circumstances though. The car that I just bought is sitting on their hoist right now being transformed from a P.O.S. into an actual driveable car. They (he) has been nothing but helpful so far and he definitely knows his sh!t. Anyone that says otherwise should get their head examined. Who knows though, I may feel differently after I get the final bill (Just kidding).....

I once got a hand job from Marco, my best yet Marco diagnoses problems that Satan can't. Marco makes our cars bitch fast. Marco chooses to work on cars that the average owner age is 17-25, the poorest, cheapest, demanding, back-stabbing whiners on earth. I know, because I'm one of them Marco and his dad have been great to me, maybe because I'm a paisan , but they're great nonetheless. sh!t happens at every workplace, people you work with/for/or work for you make mistakes...only, their mistakes are not posted on the internet, under the public scrutiny of some people who don't like you, maybe because of your dazzling people skills, maybe you charged them too much. And then the pigeons jump on the bandwagon, taking cheap shots in sh!t they know nothing about. I don't care if someone tears me a new asshole on the internet, wins an argument and the crowd. It's like winning the Special Olympics, you're champion, but you're still retarded. But if someone fucks with my bread and butter, that's a different story. Marco is a married man with a house and a wife, financial pressures are always there. I wouldn't take well to someone defaming my business because I didn't give him a free race motor because I accidentally chipped his paint. This techie/cheapie/whiny crowd is a tough one to please. I just hope he still hangs in there. There's always more to the story then people know. That's why it's best to stay out of it, and let the people involved settle it.

Well said Mike. Actually there are 3 sides to every story - theirs, yours and the truth. Basically just a bunch of keyboard kowboy haters have to chime in their worthless drivel about Magnus - thinking its going to sound so profound in front of the other kowboys. I have learned in business there are people you should just give the cold shoulder to because no amount of revenue is worth their BS.

Some of you people don't seem to get it (both this thread and the other Marco thread). In this section you do not post unless you have a personal experience to share with the person/business in the title. Do not post opinions, do not post about how someone's car looks and don't post any 'yeah man you're right' without an experience to back it up.
All my dealings with Magnus have been great. I have not had any other shop do work on my car... it's been me or Magnus the whole time. They've done my timing belt, oil pan, ACT2600 install + lightened my flywheel, and fuel pump install. No problems with any of these.

Bart, yup that's my blue car sitting on the hoist. I'm not sure if I saw you there. I stopped by briefly last night. There are so many people going throught sometimes it's almost like a subway station. I don't know how Marco can put up with it sometimes. His patience is a good thing though because he hasn't thrown me out of his shop yet.... The car will probably run awesome now. Considering all the work Marco's done on it: Both timing belts, water pump, ACT 2100 clutch, center diff, driveshaft bearings, wheel bearings, front brakes, etc.... Sould be done within the next day or so.......
