Hey guys. Just got the car back from the tranny shop after installing my replacement ACT2600 (cooked the old one). The engagement point is now about 3/4 of the way up the pedal movement! It engages about the same height as my stock clutch used to. The original 2600 grabbed right off the floor but for some reason this one is up high? It almost feels like the clutch is heavier than the last one too, but it could just be my leg is out of practice.

The shop said all they did was resurface the flywheel to 0.613" and install the clutch, everything else was the way it was before. Why would the engagement point change so remarkably?

did you do a new pressure plate too, or just the disk???

Mine is right about 1 inch or so from the floor.

Whole new clutch.

The one that was in there before was an inch from the floor. This one is about 6 inches from the floor.

It just makes the clutch movement feel more like a 'switch'. They didn't do anything with the restrictor, did they? Either that or they adjusted it for you.

My 2100 engages *right* off the floor, and without the restrictor in, the whole pedal travel is utilized.
