The parts you are looking for are the inner fender wells.

As far as the CD player part goes it could be one of 2 things. Either the mounting bracket which is the plastice part that fills the extra space taken up by the stock radio, or the cage which is the metal sleeve that slides over the deck and locks on to mount it into the mounting bracket. Seeing as you said the "metal thingy" in the topic I would assume that means the cage. If that is the case than you need one specific to the manufacturer of your deck (i.e if it's a Sony deck it needs a Sony cage to work properly). In this case you need to post what kind of deck you have. Hope this helps.

ahhh thanks! yes the metal thing was the cage but I was hoping I could use the existing cage because it looked like I could use it with the new deck... but inner fender wells is more important on my list

thanks again!

Brad, if you aren't able to find the inner fender wells, I would think your local Mitsu dealer would be able to get them for you. I picked up one for my 2g because I hacked the origional one up when I was running an upgraded SMIC but I was surprised with the price it was something like only $30 for it & it came with the clips.

One thing I did on the SMIC side is got a nice chunk of screen (like in your patio door) and attached it. Allowed for some better cooling.

Just a thought.

I just got an inner fender, with that piece you are looking for, brand new from Cross Canada Auto, cost was $33.

Go to www.crosscanadaparts.com , and sign in as a guest.
I also picked up a 97-99 eclipse bumper and 2 front fenders for very reasonable prices.....never ordered direct from the site though wink

I just threw the one of those out yesterday. If you really need it I can go digging through the garbage for you, but the price will be at least $30.00 as I don't like digging through the garbage.

It was the drivers side I believe...
