hi! right now I am running 17x 7.5" TE37's with a 40 offset, and it sits flush with the body, question is- is anyone here running the same size rim with a 48 offset (8mm more in and under the car)??? I want to know so that I can kind of tuck the wheels in the fender?? but will it rub on the inside by the strut or anything??????

thanks

On a 2G I was running 17/7 with 48mm offset and 225-45 17 and no problem. Now I have 17/7.5 with 35mm offset and 225/47 17 and the back inner lip had to be shaved 3mm.

My friend was running 17/7 with 48mm with 225/45/17 on a 1G and it was fine. I would use 45mm if you can.

On my 1G, I'm running 225/45/17 on a 17X7.5 wheel with a 43mm offset and they're fine up front, flush with the front fenders.

On the back, they're very close to the trailing arm of the rear suspension, but no rubbiing... Based on the amount of space that I have, if you're using a 48mm offset it's going to be REAL tight back there.

You're best bet, if you can, is to test fit the wheel without the tire... and go from there...

Regards
Glenn

thanks for the help guys - yeah a 45mm offset would fit nice- because I am only running a 215/45/17 tire- and in the TE-37's the only offsets are 40 and 48 and 38 i think- so hopefully the 48 doesnt rub.
