I need to buy some tires for my car and my wife's.
Both are 4 door family sedans and I am looking at getting Falken Ziex ZE-512's for both cars.

Does anyone have any experiences with these tires they would like to share?

Thanks,
Reza

A friend of mine has them and loves them. I haven't used them personally.

Write that down.

Thanks Jerry.

I guess all and all they are not bad, except they wear out really fast.... I was hoping for some summer performance on my Maxima and my wife's BMW, while keeping cost down and not have to replace the tires 1.5 years later!

Any alternate suggestions anyone?

Replacing worn suspension parts along with bumping up tire pressure to 36 and 32 seem to help wear.

Try the Toyo FZ4. They wear well, stick ok, look decent and won't break the bank. Loads of people have used these so opinions may vary.

I think these are the ones Im running now instead of the FZ4's. They grip WAY more, and they have a rim protector lip on them, and look alot more agreesive. Downside, they have larger road noise.

Good tire all-around. Only complaint is that the sidewall is a little softer for my liking. But dry and wet traction is excellent and they last pretty long, considering they are an all-season performance tire. My friend got through winter with these tires on a 2nd gen rx7! They are V-rated, and made in Japan. Good stuff. Oh, they're pretty quiet as well. Consumer Reports rated it number #1 in its class.

Great tyres, only problem is, they are not ALL Seasons (M&S rated). Wonder what you meant by "I think these are the ones I am running now...."

My brother in Oshawa runs them on his Colt. They are nite and day over his old tires plus they have a rim protector. He also used them last winter and said they worked great.
