I am running about 8-10 degrees C over ambient for my intake temp using my logger. This is in the city. With the car idling I get up to 20-25 C over ambient or a bit higher if it was a hard run and I am letting the engine cool down. The air can is hacked but shielded from the rad. Just wondering what others are running?

I just did a bunch of cold air type things with my car, low cost of course, no bling bling.

I got lots more air to the intercooler and more cold air to the air filter.

Before my iat temps were(TMO Logger on laptop) 110-135, now they are 70-85. Nice eh? laugh Steady speed driving gets it down to 68-72 if driven at about 60. Hard run got it up to 85 or so, maybe a bit higher. That was a colder day tho, but still good.

From what I know those temps are in the MAF, which really don't matter for much cause they're before the turbo and the intercooler. The best thing to do is have another temp sensor near the throttlebody.

Yeah Wes that would be the MAF temp. For lack of a more useful sensor farther down the line at least this gives some indication of how your intake set up is working. All things being equal the cooler your intake temp the cooler the actual intake charge would be. If I am running 10 degrees over ambient and can plumb my intake so i get that down to ambient temp then the charge air should be 10 degrees cooler overall.

yep, it's gotta help to get more cold air into the maf.
