Done some searching on this but found nothing that answers all my questions. Just want to know if I pick up an N/T car for parts from my friend if the lower block would be ok to rebuild for a spare for my turbo Laser? I know it needs different pistons, I am just wondering about anything I might not know of. Does it have a knock sensor? I don't think they have the oil squirters either... anything else? Are the rods/crank the same? I'm only concerned about differences in the block/crank/rods as everything else will be swapped from my engine.

You'd have to machine the oil squirters in, and possibly weld a nut onto the block for a knock sensor. The rest of the block is the same as far as I could tell.
The rods in my NT are the same as the turbo rods (both stamped G6) so I would assume they are identical. The crank is same.
