1993 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD. I am putting together my block finally and need some info.. What heat range of spark plugs should I be using. I will be ruinning roughly 20PSI of boost on a 16G Weisco pistons, Eagle rods, ARP hardware, and cometic headgasket. Also, does anyone know the compression ration of of Weisco's pistons for the 4G63?

You should use NGK BPR7ES plugs. Weiseco makes pistons with various CR's for the 4G63, which ones did you get is the question.

With that info you might want to call Wiseco or look that part number up on the Website. Or you can contact the person or place you bought those pistons from. Just an idea, eh?

You could also measure the volume of the dish and work it out.

You could also post some pics here taken at a few different angles, and let some people who have experience with rebuilding these engines give you their best guess on the CR by looking at them.

The compression ratio listed for that piston number is 8.3:1

Your actual compression ratio will vary from that if the rest of the parts in your engine don't match the specs listed in their catalog.

The catalog ratio is a ballpark figure.

Basically, you could expect some radio interference...

Does NGK even make a BPR7ES? The only plug I could find at crappy tire with a R was always a 6 plug. As soon as I went to lookfor a 7, there was no R any more. I guess Ill give it a try and see what happens. But using this plug wont go and burn a hole in my piston or something dumb like that right?

There is a BPR7ES. I have a batch of them on order now from Slowboy. I don't figure I'll make any money on these, but want to have them available for the guys that are having a hard time finding them....I should get some in this week...

I had BP7ES plug on my car a while back. Not much radio interference to speak off compared to the BPR6ES I replaced them with.

It should work fine.
