Hey guys, I have a 95 Eagle Talon TSI, I just bought a FMIC (24x12x3 core). Now I am wondering if it will fit now, what do I have to do to make it fit? I took off my bumper already and that big plastic piece that goes inbetween the body and the bumper. My bumper is in rough shape from before maybe I will get a 97 GSX bumper. Anyway any kind of advice will be great.

The end tanks are on each side of the core pointed in the opposite direction but same location on each side.

You know what screw mechanics. I decided I am going to do the plumbing. Now I only see one option now, I can order pre made pipes from Road Race Engineering. But if there are people that supply intercooler pipes mendrel bent please let me know. IAC ( INTERNATIONAL AUTOMOTIVE AND CUSTOMS) quoted me on $600 CDN just the pipes I think $1000 CDN total, another place JAY PERFORMANCE quoted me $500CDN piping only. They are all a rip off.

I know they do good work, but for $1000 CDN and my intercooler ($300) I could of just bought the Greddy kit and do it myself easier. I've got car work done at IAC its just I have school and house bills to pay, and saving $500 CDN is still a lot of money. Now if any of you guys know where to get intercooler pipes from let me know. Thanks.

I got a bunch of SS and aluminum mandrel bent pipe from vibrant. http://www.vibrantperformance.com/ I bought this stuff from a local Ottawa speed shop but I think crappy tire sells the same brand. You can cut and weld the pipes your self. It took some time but I made my own pipes for my 92. You can get all the SS pipe you need for less than $300 (including tax)if you also buy a J-pipe. Good luck.

After triming ton of bumper and that huge plastic piece inbetween, my FMIC is in, sorry the core was actually 26X12X3 and I believe end to end its 33.5 inches accross, so it barely fit. Now just have to get piping made . I am planning to run at 16 psi daily driver until I get some 550cc injectors. I do have a walbro 255 LPH HP and an S-AFC (That I am going to sell soon because I can get DSMLINKS for cheap, well not super cheap but much better than anywhere else) Anyway, last year I did a 13.8 @102 mph I had a 60 trim only boosting 12 psi but I sold it and now have an EVO3 16g. Hopifully with the FMIC it will make a good difference specially in the heat.

Hey. Just remember to get Rolled End Pipes if you do not want to pop IC Pipes all of the time. Again; Kinetic is a good place to get a nice set of Shiny Rolled End IC Pipes. Ghislain.

16psi on an evoIII-16G is way too much for 450cc injectors.
If you do that, you'll be engine shopping soon.

Are you sure 16 psi is too much for 450 cc injectors? I do have a walbro 255 high pressure and always run 94 Octane fuel. And now I have a FMIC which cools the air even more. I am planning on some 550's after this intercooler piping is made.

If you do that, you'll be engine shopping soon. Not necessairly, you can tune the **** outta it and run 16psi on stock fuel on the evo, not really a fabulous idea but it can be done, to play with an evo3 though you need at least 550s, but 650s would be best.

THe FMIC is on, I tightned all the clamps and made sure again. Anyway, now I have a problem. Everytime boost wants to kick in, the car doesnt go anywhere and starts to struggle. The car runs fine off boost, only when the turbo wants to kick in. I tried doing that boost leak test, I pumped for like 5 minutes and I dont hear any hisses. The gauge just reads zero all the time, even the gauge on the pump says zero. What the hell is going on!!

You have a leak larger than the amount of air you can "pump" in.
Now, I'll have all kinds of time to talk about DSMs, because I won't be busy fixing mine!

Ok, on the mitubishi turbos 14B, 16g, I noticed close to where toe j-pipe connects to the turbo there is a threaded hole. It is right under the left j-pipe bolt that screws into the turbo. There isn't a screw in there, is it possible thats where the boost leak is coming from? My pipes are pretty snugg, you can hang off of them without them popping off lol.
