Ok WTF is wrong with my car??
went to the dyno and made 330 AWHP on 28psi(60-1) with 0 boost leaks good timing and OK AFR. thats 40 less then last year with more mods and more boost. First few weeks of this year the car made good power(14psi 290whp). The car runs fine and the compression is good at 165-168. I have just pulled the turbo off and everything looks OK, pulled the W/G off and its OK. All the sensors are new, Coil pack, wires, transistor pack, resistor pack are all new. I have noticed that the intake temps(hot intake pipe) are higher now so the turbo is trying to keep up but where is all the air going I have no clue??. Last month comming back from the track on the highway went WOT and very little boost was made 3-4 psi and the oil temps went up a little so again the turbo was trying to keep up.I just got back from working on it and at 26psi I make 300hp where is my air???. any weep suggestions??? weep weep weep

I feel for you Paul.

For those who do not know Paul, he is defenately not a rooky at DSM. He has countless of experience with various set-up and been very successfull with previous set-up.

I'm actually quite surprise that he did not find the solution and that he is asking for help in here.

I wish that I'd have an answer for you Paul.

I personaly have some dougt about the Intake Manifold but you should of pick it up with the Boost check. Air is either escaping or the Airflow count is all fubared, but again you would of seen it on a log.

Have you tried to swap your ECU with an other one??? Maybe an other Kingston member could let you try theirs.

Ghislain.

Were all these pulls on the same type of dyno?

(ie: the higher ones weren't on a dynojet, and the new, lower ones on a mustang?)

Have you tried logging/comparing airflow numbers to compare what the ECU is seeing regarding air?

Now, I'll have all kinds of time to talk about DSMs, because I won't be busy fixing mine!

Have you tried defaulting the ENTIRE DSMLink map and re-tuning?
If all your air is where it's supposed to be, could it be a tuning issue? Forgot to carry a 1 somewhere?

Maybe try a new MAF sensor? I don't know if you're still on the 1G or a MAFT, but something may be misrepresented as well.

could be a hairline crack in the intake that only leaks when warm or when vibrating?

log the MAF reading at idle and compare it to another car, does it have the same values?
