Hello all, just thought I would post this in case someone here can help. For those of you that don't know, I adopted a Husky that had been abandoned about 6 months ago or so. I was a little bit nervous about doing so, because I heard horror stories (from people that didn't have dogs) about adopting or getting a dog from a shelter. I'm involved with a Husky specific rescue organization now, and they have a dog that just came up who really needs a home, and quickly. He's kind of a special needs dog, because he's blind now. He's been an outdoor sled-dog his whole life, and his partner just died. He's really lonely now, and needs to find a home with another dog, or dogs. He's extremely friendly, but needs companionship. He's 13 years old. Here is a picture, and a link to his info. He is currently in Nova Scotia, but if you are kind enough to adopt him, we will have him transported to you free of charge, and of course neutered with all current shots, etc. http://www.petfinder.com/pet.cgi?action=2&pet=5375694 Also, if you are interested in any other Husky, let me know. There are always many up for rescue/adoption, and I can say from first hand experience that they're amazing animals. Thanks for reading. -Jon

Also if you are just interested in helping out and adopting a husky, but don't have a companion dog, there are other dogs available for individual adoption.
I'll say first off that Huskies are a demanding breed, you can't be lazy when you have them, lots of playing, walks, etc. But if you're active, they're great, and you won't find a more loyal dog ever.
Anyway, pm me for anyone who's interested in this guy, or any others.

Hey everyone, just wanted to report the good news.
This guy was adopted, and is being transported this week to his new home.
Happy ending is nice to hear, especially during the christmas season.
Again though, anyone interested in rescue, let me know.
There are Huskies I deal with that range anywhere from 6 months old to 15 years old. Purebred and mixed.
PM me if you're looking for a great dog.

If my house was bigger, I'd take trojan in a heart beat. I have a huge yard, but a very small house. And as it is, I already have a 100lb dog, and two cats. One of which I just adopted thismorning. I absolutely love huskies, hate to see them in that kind of situation.
