I replaced my synchro's on my ride and for some reason things don't feel right...it's hard to put it in gear at times, I have to find first at times is there a break in period? what should I do?

Hello.

The engagement problem you are experiencing is probably related to the Clutch not disengaging as it should.

Start by making sure the Clutch is properly bled and that both the Slave and Master Cylinder are not leaking.

Next you should check and adjust the Clutch Pedal Height and Free play.

One more thing that can also affect the disengagement is if the Clutch Pedal is worn.

Hope this helps.

Ghislain.

Also, I found when I purchased a rebuilt tranny from Mitsu, that the synchros were realy tight at first, as it would almost click into each gear.
After a few hundred kms it felt great! Hopefully yours will to, but like Ghislain said, it could be in the master cylinder adjustment if the clutch is not properly disengaging.

Jon, what exactly did you replace?

Did you just replace the syncros or the whole gearset?

New syncros + old parts does not equal super shifting.

My bet is that the problem is related to Clutch engagement...

Synchros ain't/were not the problem.
