I finally bought Forza yesterday. I'm not nearly as far as most of you (only level 15) My favourite car for for is a '69 Nissan Fairlady Z. I have the best of very mod on it except a engine swap (which actually was going to slow the car down) That car is STUPID FAST it seriously takes 1 second to spool the turbo it.

I was racing all turbo cars and I just walked away from everything beat everone by like 30 seconds. You can strip it and race in flyweight as well racing all the Elise's in my 69 Z hardly a fair fight they handled amazing and my handled like a 69 Z smile I would walk away on the straight and they'd kill my in the curves.

It seems more realistic than the original. I don't like how the 04 EVO VIII MR handles I can't make that thing turn worth a damn. I can steer the Z with the throttle and all my FWD handle well like a FWD the AWD's I can't make turn worth at all I like the traction but thats about it...

Yeah I always find with steering wheels and pedals. Never do well. I have yet to use a force feedback one. There is a logitech model at our future shop looks wicked even has the clutch pedal. Someone said the pedals are even force feedback. lol Be the only 6speed I could afford.

2g awd, Back to dsms here I come.

I got the wheel and absolutely hated it at first. But it just took some time. I'm getting better now. I'm still not as low as my times with the controller but I know I can get there and maybe better them.

I had to turn my air conditioning down in the house when I was playing on Friday night. I was starting to sweat tongue

Heh. I'm systematically playing through all the GT's thoroughly. Right now I'm working on getting all Golds for the i-A license in GT3. My wife keeps asking me, "How can you do that over and over and over again?!?"

Because I seem to suck at full slalom... wink

I'm killing in my '82 Porsche 911 Turbo. It's modded lightly to say the least... I think it weighs about 2200lbs and has about 800hp to all four wheels through the 996 GT3 Drivetrain swap. It is a MONSTER and easy to handle, very nibel and tuned to slice tracks and lap times. AWD is great for not spinning.

I think that I'm in the top 200 times on some of the tracks too. I've ben disconnected from live for a few days but my times were pretty good. I have the wheel but haven't tried it yet because my seatign setup sucks. Maybe we should all set a time and class and host a game to see really who is the DSM Canada King of Forza Motorsport 2... We could make it another monthly, or even weekly DSM Canada meet.

got my Alcantara Playseat today.......it's pretty cool.
Now we'll see how well I do.

I built a crazy powerful 400hp NA Jetta that I was kicking ass with.
Got to love that AWD understeer into the dirt when you get too zealous with the loud pedal.

I'm having troubles getting my Galadaro to stick to the pavement in the corners. I've done the drivetrain upgrades, and added slicks, still it sucks. It just cant touch my Evo, which sticks like glue.

I hope they bring back a 1/4 mile track in a download. Dont know why they left that out.

played on live for the first time last night, and got owned.

There are just sooo many variables involved with tuning the suspension dynamics in order to yield a great track car.
My Talon is packing all the upgrades I can jam into it, but it handles less than ideally.
Compare it with that VIS Integra that you win early on.

What would be cool is if you could copy the exact settings from one of those prize cars and transfer it to the car of your choice.
Now obviously, an AWD Talon is a different beast than a FWD Integra, but it would be nice to get some form of benchmark.
Either that, or I really do need a PhD in chassis dynamics so I know how to optimally tweek all the dampers, anti roll bars, toe, camber and caster settings.

It's one thing to just pick a car that you've been awarded (like the Sparco Evo, and go race with that, but I wanna make one from scratch.

I jammed some goodies into that Tommy Kaira R34 you win and got it up to 890hp........but even with the upgraded rubber I lost all handling it originally had.......it just simply was too powerful.

But I also suck......the wall is my best friend and I spend a lot of time with my face firmly stuck in it.

I also love how if you hit the wall at the most acute angle it COMPLETELY spins you around...........Now I know why it's called an XBox 360....

It's like Golf, Dan. No matter how nice a set of clubs you own, the player (driver) is the main thing that matters. Get your skills up, and then a properly tuned car will help you out more. wink

I had the handling prob on forza 1 with my porshce. I would just spin around. Try the Sparco Evo you win, it handles great.

yeah, the Sparco Evo seems pretty nice, I have mine at S-998...
I thought I'd give my S-867 VW R-32 another shot by playing with the gear ratios, downforce and sway bar tweaks.
I out accelerated everyone all the time, which was pretty cool.

does anyone else ever get lag issues from time to time? my opponents were popping in and out and hopping all over the place which was totally distracting.

Then my 360 froze right before a race.

Quality MS sh*t, man.

Pretty jaggy, you say... Go and fire up Gran Turismo 1 on the PlayStation to get the definition of 'jaggy'. And I remember when we thought those graphics ruled!

The closer these things get to reality, the worse they tend to look for details.

I rented forza 2 and it didn't seem jaggy at all even on only 720p didn't try 1080i yet. I like it quite a bit and was nice to have my 2g on the game. Wish they had a trans am ram air think they have a few camaros. Its always cool to see your car and paint it and all that stuff.
I just got my own permanent copy of forza2 today and the ms wheel also. I hear you can tweak wheel settings in forza. I tried wheel on pgr3 and it works not too bad. Wheels are fun .That seat looks pretty neat may have to get me one.

There was some update that loaded as soon as popped in the game.
Maybe that took out the jags or mabye the jags no idea.
Anyway its not an issue and framerate seems pretty steady and smooth too. Sense of speed was not that great mabye with the fastest hopped up cars?? I find that playing in speedo view or bumper view works best for sense of speed. Behind the car views don't really do it for me.
I also really like that you can have real damage if you want. In prg3 you can just bounce off things as in gt4. With no real consequences. But try smashing things in forza with damage set to full and your car will be pooched. Or of course you can take out that special someone if you want to. Fun fun fun.

Learn how to drive tongue. You could always drop the difficulty down to easy. The easiest way to do it is to take a R class car into one of the begining races. There are alot of races for me that I lap all of the computers with them on the hardest setting and only ABS on. I wish they had a harder setting for the AI in this game. On the C class endurance race I can lap all of the AI twice if I pull a flawless run.

For those of you that are having problems tuning check this out. I used to use this guys calculator back when I played Forza 1.

I also got around to making that Eagle for my car. My initial estimate of 2 hours was somewhat low lol.
