Hey guys,

Im looking for new pads. Any recommendations? I was looking at the Axxis Metal Masters semi-metallic.

No track racing, occasional street race. Prefer something low noise/low dust.

Thanks

Axxis Metal Master all the way.

Occasional Street Race? Take it to the track.

EBC Greens FTW. They are an extremely low dust compound.

I am using the Hawk HPS w/Powerslot rotors, street driven, a few 1/4 mi events and mild lapping sessions, low dust, work when cold, I found the EBCs even though a mild pad squeeled when cold, when warmed up they were ok though.

I run a special Wilwood pad on the front for my big brake kit but I did do alot of research on break setups before I bought the kit & if I would have ran a stock style setup I would have gone with the Hawk HPS pads as they seem to have more bite & less fade compared to the Axxis Metal Master (not that the Axxis is a poor pad). If you don't mind spending abit more, I'd recommend the Porterfield R4-S's for the best street/some track. On the rear I run powerslot rotors & Hawk HPS pads & I'd say the dust from these is fairly minimal for a high performance pad.

My rear brake Hawk HPS dust pretty decently.
But the stopping power is a lot of fun, and I'd rather have dusty rear rims than a dented front bumper.

I second the Powerslot/Hawk combination.
I was tempted to get the bigger front brake set up that powerslot has, but after putting these pads on with stock size power slot rotors, I was totally amazed at the stopping power.

I want an RS4.

I can bring them in from the US. If they have stock, order by Monday(today), I will have them for Saturday.

Carbotech Panther if you want to do lapping without changing pads. They are not dust free and may squeak on occasion on the street but they hold up very well on the track with no fade and will definetly give you more bite. There is no free lunch with brake pads. If you want really good performance your going to get some dust.
