Whenever I turn the car off I loose fuel pressure instantly. As a result it takes numerous cranks to start the car.
I have not been able to locate a fuel leak.
I remember reading somewhere that there is an o-ring on the pump that often does not seat properly causing line pressure to leak back in to the tank.
I have tried searching for a post on the subject but cannot find anything. Before I start dealing with that pain in the ass fuel feed line at the pump I would like some input. Anyone heard of this?

there is a little rubber line that clamps on the fuel pump nipple and it goes to the metal line...1 inch line..
it gets old and bursts....or the clamps leak...check it

The fuel pump doesn't like the multi-colored body panels. Therefor, it won't seal.

you might be right... cough *jerk* cough ...lol

However, I pulled the pump out today and found that the o-ring and upper cap were just sitting there, instead of being installed on the pump outlet. I re-installed everything properly and now it is MUCH better.

Turn your ket to ON before you crank it, it will start the fuel pump, you'll hear it prime and stop. Then start it.

Unfortunately on our cars that is not the case, you have to crank the engine for the fuel pump to start pumping, turning the key to on does nothing.

I have had the same problem of my car being hard to start and loosing fuel pressure when you turn it off for a while now. I changed and greased my o-ring, and changed the pump, checked for leaks, etc.
I am sure it is my AERO FPR, there was a whole thread on this.
I have just ordered a new one this week from Ziggy. Will post results.

Are you positively sure? Every car primes. My colt used to do it and so did my old AWD... Unless I was imagining things... which I'm sure I wasn't.... Now I'm doubting myself...

The fuel pump only activates when the CAS spins... no priming!
