Unfortunately on our cars that is not the case, you have to crank the engine for the fuel pump to start pumping, turning the key to on does nothing.

I have had the same problem of my car being hard to start and loosing fuel pressure when you turn it off for a while now. I changed and greased my o-ring, and changed the pump, checked for leaks,etc. I am sure it is my AERO FPR, there was a whole thread on this. I have just ordered a new one this week from Ziggy. Will post results.
