I might go to the states next spring and buy a used car. Does anyone know the procedure for buying a car down there? What are the US taxes you have to pay? What are the Canadian taxes u have to pay once u import the car? and is there any additional fees and tarrifs when bringing over a car?
thanks guys

There's no american taxes if you are buying it private sale, but there are charges, like an AC charge if the car has AC, when coming across the boarder you have to pay GST on the vehicle's buying price.
You've gotta call 72 hours ahead of time and let the boarder know you're bringing a car across, and have all your paperwork ready.
I think I'm forgetting something...

Then I'm sure there's some sort of state tax you'd have to pay.
