Its got a 4G69 2.4 Mivev engine with sportronic automatic transmission. It should be pretty good on gas from what I've researched. Same 4 clylinder motor in they use in the older lancers and other models.

AWD swap nearly complete

Beast is slowly creeping out. Got a chance to wash it today.

All I have left is to swap in the AWD transmission, t-case and figure out the electrical gremlins in the fuel level sender. Everything seems to be wired correctly, pump runs fine but the gage is not

-Driver door molding.

Otherwise this is the cleanest 1G I've seen not to mention the highest mileage

Alex, not original paint. Unfortunately those door mouldings are discontinued and yes you spotted the only minor rust spot on my car
Fortunately my good friend is a body/paint guy and when I asked him how much to fix the blemish, he told me he's just gonna paint the whole car for me.

Will is also in the 400 club. I should be hitting 350 this summer
Never winter driven in the past 10 years helps a lot..

Yea for sure! I'll admit my car has seen a winter or two. My wifes 1G on the other hand has just under 220k with original engine and transmission, and I consider it cleaner than mines and rust free. I just got it repainted and krowned right before the winter too. All the jack points and rails under her car are still clean and not butchered with jack stands either

If only 2G's were as rust free as the 1G's! F@cking pieces of sh!t and their rustry strut towers. I would like to meet the prick who designed the stupid thing and shove his face inside of a rusty tower!!!!!!

yea dad closed the garage door on it and cracked the some paint then when i whent camping with it got that way but im gona get it repainted before i start driving it

OK so this is it so far,. ready for safety and etest! Just need a horn and a washer pump. And yes paint! She felt boost today for the first time in about 7 years when the original owner threw the belt. Its been sitting in back yards till i got it 2 years ago.

This is what my AWD looked like what I got it. There really wasn't much to it. Prior to me getting it it appeared to have been used as a parts car, and sat in a field for a long time.

YA mine had the rear bumper all scrathed up from being pushed around, the front fenders were badly rusted thru, hood was faded and rusty, Front bumper had rips allthru it. Quarters were full of holes, the hatch glass was smashed in and the motor was in the trunk. Plus the owners kid had spraybombed the rims SILVER and littered it with neons!
