I didnt know in Ottawa trees are still green that late in the year. Overall she looks very good. Big brake kit will fit nicely with those rims

You should turn that Elantra into a sleeper, we've got an Accent that goes to the local track that is covered in bondo and primer and huge park bench wing that runs 10's on drag radials.

I won't go quite that crazy, but I might have something in mind for it.

i borrowed my grammas elantra a few years back to go to bommanville.. it was the newest most reliable car my family had, so we trusted it.

on the way back .doin about 130kmph on the 401, iit spit all 4 rods thru the oil pan! it had less then 100ks on the car and was well maintained.

mechanic says we were in 3rd but it was a auto and wasnt reving high.. we were driving and i could hear knocking and the car started to slow down on ita own.. next thing i knew peices of engine were hitting the hood and making dents and he wheels locked up! we jumped out and liquid fire was pouring from the engine! it was neat!

I once threw a rod in my '82 trans am. I had new tires installed at my fathers friends garage, they did an oil change. I drovew it not even 10 kms and the plug came out..sooo, out went a rod through the pan. Pulled off the highway I was on and oil was everywhere.

The garage took responsibility and replaced the 350ci. With another used one

To go that suddenly, I think it is usually a case of having lost the oil. I have seen engines run with knocking rods for a LONG time if they are still getting oil...

Bad fuel pump will give you issues on a boosted car, I found out the hard way. Though I did add an extra drain hole

i am asuming there was oil.. i think that was the liquidy fire pouring from the crank case.. i think a bearing seized and the momentom of the car forced half the crank to keep spinning.

I got lucky with mine. I ran it for one season until I figure out it was the FPR after all. She still runs

Seeing as we're talking about lack of oil, here's what happened to my GSX the first month I had it. Was A) Running VERY rich B) Leaking oil and C) Had the 420a dipstick in there. (about 1.5" longer)




But on a lighter note, fog makes for some cool pictures

My latest sub-project on the car. They arent done. We got a plotter at Brightside now so Im making some high temp red decals, then after they are applied, and assembled (without boots and seals) I'll toss a coat of clear on them to give all the shiny bits and decals a nice protection.

Very cool! I was thinking of doing gold after I dipped my rims black. Definitely is going to look nice!
