or perhaps when you have heard that your name is not to be uttered in their shop, you would not feel welcome at one of the events they sponsor. I DID have a great time at the shootout, though..

It`s very disappointing to see a local DSM Shootout Held and 3 people from here show up! I dont care what grudges anybody holds, its a dsm event! go out, have fun, kick ass, prove yourself. Talk is cheap! Afterall, it`s not like Forcepower is making any money off this event! They`ve made more of a contribution to the dsm to the community than the majority. I really couldn't have said it better myself. The invite was put to ANY and ALL of you guys the second I started this thread. We were willing to go through all the bullshit to put a North of the Border Shootout together so that DSMers in Canada could have something that is LOCAL and something to call there own. If a COUPLE of you are STILL carrying some sort of a grudge against us, that's your problem. This event is not about us (ForcePower).....it's about the cars and the people. Yes this years event flopped out. The worst part of my day was looking around at who actually did show up and having to basically close the classes due to not enough competitors, walk over to the track officals and say "I guess the DSMs will just run T&T today, sorry". If alot of you guys didn't want to race, you could have still came down. I know that this event could have worked in Canada and all it would have took was YOUR effert in showing up. I will give props to one individual for sure. Better write this one down. hahaha. Helder, thanks for coming. There has been a couple words tossed around before between yourself and us but you made the trip. Wish things had gone better for you that day with your car. At the end of the day.....ya I am pissed off. Pissed off that this doesn't work in Canada and we have to go State side to be apart of big events. Im pissed because I still don't know what it would take to get you guys out to an event SPECIFICALLY PUT TOGETHER FOR YOU!!! For those that did show up, THANK YOU and as usual, we had alot of fun at the track and of coarse...the after party.

True Ziggy. Or maybe if there was no "ORG" bashing to start with, it MIGHT just have been successful. Not like I realy care or give a sh!t, but why the frack would I want to dirve down to London, to support or participate in an event that was organized by ORG haters ? I can go to Cayuga or St. Thomas on a regular t&t day, just like others. Don't bash ca.dsm and its members, then hold an event and wonder the frack no one came ? Duh. I would actually have taken a day off of work to go to a Peckerhead shootout instead. No grudges here, as I said I don't give a crap Something to think about Pat Fisher.

Why the frack you need to get mad cause I speak my mind, grow up little child. Like serious, lets have a poll, who else thinks I ruined this event other than you ? You tell me I can't drop it? You are the one who had a problem with me right from the get go. I didn't even know who the hell you or forcepower were. You come off like some hard ass know it all, who no one can criticize or say your fuckin wrong about some sh!t. Sorry pal, I'll say it straight to your face. YOU and your club bashed everyone here did you not? Why didn't you just fuckin apologize to everyone before organizing this? I see you really lack those skills. AND, don't demand me to come to your stupid event, Bow down kiss me feet, say sorry to me and maybe I just would have come If not, then shut your fuckin mouth!

Really, are you guys 16?
I can understand people wanting their own forums to run things the way they want, fine. I can understand people have preferences for the shop they use, whether due to personal experience or second-hand information, fine.
It's a disappointing "community" that can't even get together for an event because of who organised it. I'm sure the fact that Ziggy or Reza not going to an event associated with ForcePower or Pat doesn't kill an event. However, people should not be negative about others attending any event because of their personal feelings and opinions.
There's no reason for "org" people not go to an event because it's put on by SO-DSM and vice-versa, or whoever the organisers are. This reminds me of the childish shinnanigans the Toronto Subaru Club pulled with some of it's members who didn't think Subaru's are only meant to rally and didn't consider everything else inferior.
I was actually thinking of going to this event but considering my last autoslalom was the following day and I needed to run to score in the championship, I played it safe and chose not to.
I think you guys need to get out an run your cars more often. Evidently too much internal build up from wrenching all the time comes out as whining. Are you really interested in the said/she said, people laughing about someones tuning skills, driving skills, wrenching skills, clothing skills, or dancing skills?
The only way any cool DSM events are going to happen next year is if people agree to dis-agree where necessary and attend whatever events somebody puts their time and effort into organising.
I'm looking forward to a drag racing event since I've tried everything else out there, except drifting (which I'd like to). Hopefully there will be a couple of get togethers next year with a few DSM'ers that are more interested in cars than teenage girl gossip and name calling.

Thanks Kevin.
Don't be mad cause no body came Pat. Don't blame us.
Steve K and Andy B don't blame us when we don't come to a Peckerhead Shootout.
You put down ca.dsm, and then invite everyone to a shootout ?
Really, think about what I just said.

Would you like to explain to me how I was disrespectful and ignorant. YOU asked why no-one showed. I was just pointing out that if you make a bunch of enemies, don't be surprised if they don't show up at your self promoting event! Maybe I WAS being disrespectful....but that would be because I have no respect for you..you have not earned it...but ignorant? You must have us confused..
I haven't hosted an event, but I am also not the one whining about why no-one attended.
I DID host events in past at my shop for the Ford ZX2 club, and they were well attended, and appreciated. I no longer have the space for it.
I HAVE also contributed to other events and in other ways. A few of the members here would know my wife's potato salad, and I voluntarily contribute financially to the maintenance of this board...I just don't insist that my name be attached to anything I do for someone...

And my comment was SERIOUS. If this event was really for ALL DSM'ers and not just the fisher worshipers, maybe you really SHOULD have called it something else.
Of course, you have every right to attach your name to an event you organize, but after some of the stunts you have pulled, your name is not very liked or respected by a lot of people here, and you should not be surprised that it is going to keep a few people away.
