You buy your car and are in the classifieds looking for parts the next week.

You buy parts, and the person your buying em off is like.. "so you bought that car eh. hah."

...you're tired of people telling you how DSM's are all pieces of crap, and you smile to yourself when those same people are shocked that your car has been running so well because of how well-maintained your DSM may be.

...you know more about your car than almost every mechanic you've brought it to, except perhaps the ones who own/have owned DSMs themselves.

...people call your car a Dodge, you take the time to explain the meaning of DSM and the joint venture involved, and they still call it a Dodge.

...when you yelled out "THAT'S NOT EVEN A TURBO" when the hood was opened in the first scenes while watching "The Fast and the Furious" in the theater.

...when you point out DSMs in movies, television shows, during the news, and in comercials.

...when you're amused when people ask what type of Porsche your 1G is.
...when you're amused when people ask what new model of car your 2G is, because it looks so sleek and modern.
...when you're NOT amused that certain Saturns almost mimic the 1G for looks.

AMEN to the Saturn bit, Troy... I call them Salons - pronounced like Talon but with an "S". Thankfully they pale in comparison to DSM power output (stock vs stock), otherwise they might be the ones calling us Talurns.

You scroll through "talon" search results on Kijiji, And can tie more then half the adds to a first name, and someone from this club

You have a DSM in your garage, that's been collecting dust for years. You keep telling yourself that one day you will finish body work on it and put it back on the road. Your wife keeps asking you weekly "when are you going to get rid of it?". You put it up for sale, but ignore all inquiries, and tell your wife that no one is interested.
One day you almost give in, go into to garage, take around 1 hour to fire it up due to a dead battery, while your neighbours that camp outside of their homes keep watching your pathetic attempts.
Finally, you fire her up, and come out of the smoky garage, with a euphoric grin on your face, look around and feel like you are on top of the world again. You proceed to rev her a few times to show your neighbours you mean business, shut her off and start to keep telling yourself that one day you will finish body work on it and put it back on the road.
You repeat the cycle every few months.

when you have more parts cars at your house than running cars

When you find a running DSM with rust, flat tire, blown power steering rack, but only 190K on the clock for $700. You see it as a "worthwhile investment" for a partout.

Your lady friend from England arrives for a visit and upon visual inspection of the vehicle utters, "it looks so horny" .

everytime i go out for a smoke i stare at my car and plan how much money i can muster up and what my next upgrage steps might be.

You buy a 1G and say to your passenger, ' I wonder how far we get before the tow truck has to pick us up ', and when it turns out to be 200 kms, you're surprised you got so far.

... you have an urge to smack people who ask about 'venting to atmosphere'.

... you have to explain to a mechanic what 'boost creep' is.

... your boss knows what Club DSM is and is working on a way to block it.

... you've spent at least an hour on how Turbo isn't the actual engine but a separate component, then you lose the people you are explaining it to at the "blow off valves".

The worst web forum I was ever a part of had to be ClubRSX.com. I shiver just thinking about my year spent there when I had a Type S.

You've had your car die on you, started fixing it on the side (or in my case today, middle) of the road, figured you'd have no luck, call CAA and while you're waiting, you get it fixed and running.

When you walk into the seafood section of a grocery store.
And first thing that comes to your mind is fried ECU.

when you want to drive it so bad but cant and race it around the driveway in circles(today) hahahaha:D

...you know your several tow truck drivers on a first name basis and get discounts because of repeat customer status

...you call CAA and they don't need to ask for your vehicle's information because they already know

...your knowledge of DSMs surpasses that of any other car you've owned

ebarrassing enough, that has happened to me. had to get the talon towed three times in 1 month (1st time i used the gf's CAA account as she was with me since you only get 3 tows per year).

You start to have domestic disputes with your gf or family because the POS isn't out of the garage yet
