I'm looking at removing the a window in a 2g - looks like its gonna be a bit of a pain. I remember replacing a 1g - it was so easy! Am I missing something, any tips for removing a 2g window?
Thanks

It's pretty easy and straight forward.... I used a cordless impact which helped A LOT and just made it simple.

I would suggest removing the door and doing it off the car as well, might make it easier.

I'm not going to remove the door even though it is easy. I just don't think I would need to. I have an early 95 and I know that they have a different glass(but I was pretty sure it was only one small difference)from the rest of the 2g's.

I removed a few nuts that hold the glass secure and to a couple stoppers. but I still couldn't manage to remove the glass. From what I could tell one of the studs from a nut I removed is stopping me from pulling the glass through the top.

Theres a couple finicky ones... I know there is 3 bumpers along the top of my door, and theres a certain way you need to shift and hold the glass to jiggle it out, its a pain lol.

This is the stud that I believe is getting in my way - http://s647.photobucket.com/albums/uu199/ch3rylxx/dsm/?action=view&current=S4030157.jpg
The pic was taken though the cavity where the speaker housing should be. Do I need to remove this stud somehow?

Now I have one attachment where the window travels on a vertical(sort of-sight angle) track and I think it simply slides off once I can get the window high enough.

Ya I am pretty sure that I had to take that nut/bolt off too. I don't know that proper way to take that off but I used a wrench and a pair of small channel locking pliers. Was a REAL pain for me.

Im pretty sure that is not removable, you have to wiggle the window on an angle as you take it out so it slides out where the one bumper is closest to the door handle. There is enough room there.

^^ Ya I think your right after looking at the picture again. There is a nut on that stud that had to come off. The problem I had was that the stud would spin with the nut.
