If it broke off in the AC bracket hole, take off the bracket. The broken bit of it should still be hanging loose in its threads if your lucky.
At least thats what happened to me, and I was able to spin it loose with a small screw driver.

Damn, i am really not in luck. It broke flush in the block. I will try the right angle drill, worse case, I will pull the intake manifold to get a clear view of the broken bolt. Also, i am not planing on reinstalling the a/c braket when i put it back in, can I just use some washers to compensate for the gap?

Hoping that nothing breaks this summer.

I usually just cut the small corner of the AC bracket off, and use that. There is actually a Mitsu part # for that spacer.
It may have broken off flush in the block, but take a closer look at it, it may be loose in its threads. If so, it should be easy to take out.

Did you get it out. I have same exact problem .I did buy a right angle drill awhile ago at canadian tire. I also found some shorty bits they sell there and thing at the worst just loosen up engine mounts maybe back and front and should be able to get more clearance. Think also make a bit of sleeve/guide to make sure hit center of the broken bolt. Don't suppose there is any glue or metal weld stuff that can simply let you stick a good bolt onto the broken one and turn it out?
Easyout hopefully will get the job done. The bolt is not sticking out.Other idea was to maybe drill it out or if can drill it far enough down put in a stud and use a nut. See how it goes in next few days. Don't feel good about having only the one bolt on there.

I too have a broken bolt in the same spot. I have yet to tackle it, winter project. I forgot that there needs to be a spacer on the left bolt and I overtightened and twisted it off. I was hoping I could sneak a right angle drill in there. Sounds like I got more work to do. Dang!!
