ACT 2100 clutch ~1 year old, with all new clutch related hardware including new slave, master and SS acumulator bypass line.

My pedal sometime doesn't come all the way back to the top after I press it in for a shift.
The transmission shift just fine, no notching, no grinding, no resistance.
After I depress the pedal, I shift, and release the clutch as normal, the pedal travels back to normal position, but gets kinda stuck in the "free play" range that all clutch pedals have where there is 1-2" of travel prior to actually disengaging the clutch mechanism.
This last for about a second or so, and that transmission is in the right gear with no noise, and then the pedal will "pop" back up to the fully upright position.
I checked my fluid level and it's full, and there are no leaks.
Again, this only happens in that free play travel range of the clutch pedal so I am wondering if there is something in that mechanism that is sticking a little and could use some grease or a bolt adjusted.

Does this make sense at all?

Thanks!

Sounds like a busted clutch pedal, or the C word.

Have you bled the system? There's nothing holding it back?

I just spoke to my former guru in Texas and got the skinny.....so it's all good now. I'll just need to get all yoga and get under the dash to make a minor adjustment on the master cylinder rod.

Either that or find a pre owned RS4 sooner that I had originally planned.

Well, let us know what it all is. I 'think' I have experienced that same or similar issue , and I have the 2GNT (so its not the C word).

Kind of went away on it's own.

I re checked the fluid and all was well.
I kind of think maybe it has something to do with long periods of inactivity, or maybe just cold.....once things get warmed up there's no issue. It's really intermittent.

In related news, my local guy looked up my model year and build date, and apparently my 2G DSM was manufactured JUST after Mitsubishi made the thrust bearing change for the new year, so I pretty much have dodged the CW bullet it seems.
