This car has sparked my interests back to the DSM world....
I am going to be buying a vehicle in the next 1-2 months and will definitely work towards this (or similar)

Obviously I wont pull a fully copy-cat but thats one of the only 1gb front ends I like... I still prefer the 1gb rear end over the 1ga.

Heres the link incase you wanna check out this guy's profile: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/members/40-psi-blk-dsm-75448.html

I don't really dig that grill. Personally, I think black mesh like the Evo's have would be a better look (or nothing at all) but it's all personal preference. Nonetheless, the car looks really clean.

That is one spectacular car. Props to the owner for a lot of hard work.

I would do a 1GB rear, but that car is immaculate. 1G is FTW

FYI that is a Mitsu 1GB rear bumper cover wink.1992-94 1GB Mitsubishi GSX, just like mine oposite colour and minus the 3M hood scoop, I love all the lines of a Mitsu 1GB, one of a kind.

Yep, it's a 1Gb Mitsu rear end. The 1G Mitsu licence plate is always in the bumper smile I think they are the same bumper from 1Ga.

I thought the 1gb had an angle outwards at the bottom of the tails? Or do I have it reversed?

It is not a 1GB Mitsu rear bumper, but a 1GA Talon Rear bumper, sorry. The 1GB Mitsu has flares around the bottom and a large tapper that meets the tail lights creating flusher apprearnce, and the licence plate opening is also larger on a Mitsu. Google the 1992 Mitsu GSX Eclipse.

My Bad sorry, don't know what my own car looks like anymore.

So the car above is a 1GA talon coverted to a 1GB mitsu front bumper cover and hood with its original 1GA Talon rear bumper cover. Now that I look at it better I can tell by the trim on the side and the rockers that it is a 1GA Talon with a 1GB mitsu bumper which makes sense, most likley.

I guess the 1Gb Talon took the 1Ga Eclipse spoiler?

And I think I was wrong in my post. Those are 1Ga Eclipse tails, aren't they?

I'm not sure about the bumper difference but I'm right about the plate wink

These conversions are confusing.
I was going to do something with mine a while back but decided I enjoy the stock 1Gb Talon enough to keep it.

You like the pop-ups eh Robert, do you still have that clean White 1GA, we should put are cars together for a photo shoot white on white the best of both 1G's..

Tails are a 1GA Talon, not sure about 1GA Eclipse.

Slightly different thumnails aswell from the 1GB Talon, 1GB Mitsu is bigger.

Ya this is got me confused because it should have the long thumnail that reaches the door windows, unless he swapped that to..

Best combo in my opinon is take a 1GB Eclipse with a 1GA Talon Thumnail, tempted to change mine over but its body is still original.

The only difference between the Talon and Eclipse 1Ga rear is that the Eclipse had a body colour line running across beneath the tail-lights. Now, I believe the Laser had the line in addition to the centre portion being painted and not the same as the 'lens' covers. Whichever 1Ga tail it is, I'm fairly certain it's been painted, to cause us all confusion! smile

Sweet looking car though!! Makes me want to paint my vintage driftwood coloured car black.

That's a nice change.
I think the pop-ups only match well with the "sharp" rear of a 1Ga Talon.

Malcolm, Yes I still have that car and would love to get some pics beside a nice 1gb gsx! White on white 1ga vs 1gb would make for some beautiful pictures. We just need the perfect background?

I agree. My first love was my cousin's 93 1G.

I respect the 2G's shared unique styling, handling and related features/capabilities, but the 1G is very unique aswell aspecially for its age, and there's something about the wedge shape of a 1G, build quality, easy wrenching, and no OBD that stops me from getting a sexy 2G.

Robert I'll have to come visit your rig come summer for a photo shoot.

Ian B. has a 1GA Eclipse GSX and I thought he mentioned his rear bumper cover & tails was the same as mine. Either way a nice car above gotta love Florida. Long live the 1G DSM's that paved the way for most other cars.

1GA Lasers have a black line under the tail lights and no lower lights or reflectors (they're in the lamp housing). The centerpiece is painted the same color as the taillight lenses and stamped with the pentastar, similar to the talon:

IMO the 1GB Laser tail is the sexiest. Just two big brick tail lights and a red reflector strip running underneath. Shave the trunk keyhole and you're set (oh and pull off this ugly wing too):

Sadly, we did get the worst 1G front bumper. Oh well. smile

Ah, got it, I didn't know 1ga and 1gb <air quote>lasers</air quote> were different, I was thinking of the 1gb.

Thanks for the clarification. I do like the seperate tail-lights and reflector strip thing. tu
