Hey guys, i took off my head due to a timing belt problem that caused my valves to bend. i went to a mechanic he told me he can do it for a cheap price but the parts he gets are expencive! i was wondering where can i get a set of valves(16), valve lifters and gaskets? I need to buy it soon so internet orders arnt so good.
This was a rebuilt engine with a fully ported head so most parts are fresh like the HKS cams. Even though the valves were touching my cams it looks ok on the inside.
I dont trust this mechanic so any advise on where to go or where to get the parts would be great thanks!

i dont know what caused the belt to shread but the pistons look fine and the valves did not break off, just bent. I was "trying" to street tune it (first time, give me a break)... the engine felt like it was running pretty hot that season maybe that had something to do with it.. the temp gage was not responding last time i remember.

You say you don't trust this mechanic, but you are going to let him rebuild your head? That is not too wise!

This is what it had get done when i bought it: 6-Bolt 4G63 HEAD: • Extensively ported on the intake and exhaust sides, • Bronze valve guides. • 3 angle valve job, • New valve seals, • Planed for MLS head gasket. • MLS head gasket, (Used but reusable) • Stock valves / springs. • HKS 264/272 cams. • New CAM seals. • Fresh rebuild 0 km’s.
So your saying i should just buy a stock head? and do all that all over again?
