1) does the FIPK have any distinct advantage over these 2 options

The only difference I can see is the FIPK offers a bracket to hold the intake up and is shaped like the MAS which may offer slightly better flow since it doesn't have any constriction on the MAS by going from circle to oval

2) Would the FP intake pipe be overkill for a T-25 soon to be E316g? I have done some searching but haven't found a concrete answer on this.

Finishing up my list and making my big order soon and just making sure I have everything lining up right so I can get it right the first time.

I believe the FIPK has a larger surface area.

The FP is not overkill (bigger = better for that part), however you have to think about fitment to such a small turbo compressor inlet. They're really meant for larger turbos.

The FIPK I believe IS an improvement, but they charge such a huge premium just to put the silly thing in kit form. The filter is available separately, as is the adapter. We are planning to one day do an "RTM Version" of the FIPK with K&N parts and stainless hardware....just not on the front burner right now. If you are serious, we can probably try to speed up the process a little....

The FP intake pipe PROBABLY is overkill for a t25, but you already mention the soon to be EVOIII16g, and once bitten by the boost bug, who knows where you will end up. Even with the EVOIII, it is a nice looking piece smile

Will you notice a difference from running the FIPK over the two links above, no, other then your pockets are lighter. Your two above links are what I'd recommend.

Sure the FP intake is "overkill" for a T25 but it can be adapted for it as well as an EvoIII & its the last intake pipe you'll need unless you go very big in the future. Like most, I origionally bought an Injen intake, which was useless when I switched to a turbo with a 4" inlet, after my EvoIII.
