Sounds to me like your transfercase locked up, but how you are able to drive afterwards is beyond me.

I'm guessing your center diff is pooched. Once the t-case goes, you usually can't drive it afterwards. The centre diff will allow you to run in RWD depending on how it breaks.

The mismatched tires could do it if it was driven for a long time like that, but your viscous coupling in the transmission must be burnt out by now if thats the way it is/was acting.
If the transmission was ever changed to a JDM one, it is possible for it to have a wrong final drive. You can check the code on the transmission. Just under the upper two transmission bolts, on the transmission bellhousing is a code, starts with W5M33..... whats that code?
If the tranfer case is not physically leaking and checks out ok, then check the transmission. If the transmission code checks out ok, then I would say the mismatched tires could have damaged the VC or center diff.
