Hello Michael.
I found the best bang for the buck and decent reliability is to get your Alternator rebuild yourself. Pick a local shop; should cost you between $75 and $125 depending on the work that needs to be done.

I'm also looking for an alternator however I don't wanna go cheap. I want quality and reliability as usually you get what you pay for. What do you all suggest?
