My trusty Daily driver is now up for sale for $1000. Car has been well cared for as you will see from the pics. Compression is Cylinders 1, 2 and 3 170 psi, cylinder 4 is 168. List of upgrades are as follows: Spax lowering springs on KYB GR-2 Struts Polished Injen short ram air cyclone intake with K&N Filter Pacesetter ceramic header and 2.5" exhaust minus the resonator with stock TSI muffler 2G weighted shifter Matching white summer rims with tires included (Bridgestone potenza re092) Winter rims (black steel) and tires (viking made by continental) Timing belt and tensioners done at 240000 km, compression shows 170 across the board, water pump removed and inspected (previous owner had said it was replaced but I had it inspected anyways). Transmission and clutch replaced by previous owner at 180000km. All engine sensors in the car were replaced due to an issue the previous owner had. Turned out it was the ecu which I had replaced after I purchased the car. Alternator and battery recently replaced. I've owned the car for 3 years (bought with193000 kms) most of the mileage since then is highway as my gf lives in brampton and I live downtown by the gardiner expressway. Car pulls hard for a N/T. There are a couple of issues. A squirrel or Raccoon chewed through a wire or harness somewhere. The systems have been jumped with a seperate fuse running an external wire in the fuse panel. The Rad will need to be replaced as well as the windshield. You can't even notice the crack as it is close to the driver side A pillar, however to pass safety you will need to have that looked after. The rotors might need to be redone or replaced as well, I have an extra set of brand new pads still sitting in the box. The brakes still stop on a dime, just some odd sounds from the rotors here and there at low speeds (walking speed with light pressure). Throttle position sensor wire has come off some how, the sensor is still there and the wire can be re-attached, I just haven't bothered putting it back as the only symptom is stuttering at warm up, but once warmed up, it drives as it should but there is better fuel economy. Okay, so that's four issues, small issues seeing as mechanically the car is sound. Speaking of sound, there is no stereo in the car as the factory one died and I was borrowing a friends stereo but they wanted it back, so there is a nice double din hole waiting for you to put in a nav or dvd system. Car will have to be sold by Wed. If it isn't sold, It will be sent to a junkyard. Amazing what the difference between a turbo and non turbo car can make. If Kobie's car was turbo selling for $1000, it would've been snatched up in a heartbeat, but sinnce it's not, people don't even care to consider.
Good luck with the sale Kobie and I hope you can save her from the metal man. It shouldn't matter if it's turbo or not, you can easily convert it. Personally I would like a clean 1G NT over a rust-bucket 1G TSi FWD for the same price, or even lower. I think it's clean and a good deal for $1,000, somebody should grab it or help this man out!

No I don't since I don't know how long I'll be holding on to it for. Nobody wants to "indefinately" hold on to it for me. i'll indefinitely hold on to it for you, just give me the keys and let me pay insurance on it and drive it for the winter Best part is I wont even charge you anything to keep it here

Well, I've held on to the car as long as I could, renewed the previous parking permit and now it's expired and they won't give me another one since I need to renew my plates. Since they like to give multiple parking tickets per day the car is back up for sale, exact same as my original post. It starts and moves with no issues at all, I regularly started it up and let it run to keep things good. $1000 obo, sorry, no winter rims or tires this time though, those have been sold.
