Hi Guys!
Just finished playing KZ 3 demo for PS3. AMAZING shooter!
Did anyone else tried this game? Should be fun to play coop!

What are your thoughts of the game? Who's got the full version?

I've heard nothing but stellar things about it. I hear the "gun" controller or whatever its called is accurate as a mofo too, might be worth a look.

RROD you mean? wink

I've got an original 360 (when they launched) never RROD on me yet.
However I've thought about getting a PS3 if I ever get a Blu Ray player.

I bought ny blu Ray from wallmart for 50$. He'll of a deal but a ps3 is alot more versatille for dam sure. Either way I just played a little KZ3 and it's pretty sweet. I'm a PC gamer myself but if I had a ps3 I would defanitely reccomend it!

Yes thank you Anthony. RROD is for XBOX & YLOD is for PS3!
BTW my 60GB 1G PS3 recently survived the YLOD. I used the heat gun method and it's working again

Xbox 360 blows away ps3 tongue . I have both at home and the 360 blows the ps3 off its feet IMO. xbox 360 has better graphics and a way better controller. If your into a REAL gaming experinece with excellent online play get a XBOX360. If your "mr. mulitmedia" get a ps3. Never got RROD on my xbox 360 for the last 3 years I've had it. Think I have one of the newer good units.

Now maybe I should try KZ3, I've playing too much black ops lately smile

If you want to get technical, "If you want a REAL gaming experience with excellent online play" use your pc! no xbox live bullsh!t to pay for and better effects and graphics. The steam platform is by FAR the best platform gaming was intended for. The comon argument against this is: but a gaming pc is so damned expensive! WRONG if you for some strange reason decide to build on a Intel/nVidia platform then you are going to really be in the hurt locker financially. A top end pc from those vendors will cost you about 3-4K depending your your preferences. Building an AMD based pc with AMD graphics is massively less expensive and generally performs BETTER.

I peiced together a system the other day that is TOP NOTCH that will crush framerates in all titles out so far, without a monitor it ran a 1300$ bill. Not to mention that a system like that will outlive the xbox 540 and PS4

Too bad I'm not a pc guy, love my xbox 360. I don't mind paying $45 a year for an EXCELLENT gaming experience. If your looking for cheap gaming, get the ps3 wink

I laugh at the ps3 whenever its on, can't even compare them two.

Like I said, if your into the multimedia like blue ray, sleek design and free often laggy online play, get a p3s smile

Plus one on the better graphics. Nothing beats PGR game when it came out. XBOX360 has an ATi R500 custom made chip while PS3 is using last minute call Nvidia 7800GTX. No doubt the Cell processor in PS3 can do more geometry but texture quality, resolution, and anti aliasing will always lag behind no matter what they advertise.

Reza, a ps3 and an xbox lag the same... It's a connection issue not a hardware issue. In terms of power the ps3 runs the show with it's cell processor. The amount of calculations that thing can run per second is unreal.

by the way, you can always use a 360 or ps3 controller on a pc.

If I had to pick between the two consoles I would pick a ps3 for the blu Ray and the ability to run a Linux or windows os on a good sized partition.
I find the xbox controller a bit bulky and xbox in general seems like it favours lighter shading and textures rather than the ps3 which is very lighting heavy and has an amazing amount of power left over for (what I find to be) richer colours and a more seamless experience in general.

I do like the xbox marketplace though. That is a pretty sweet idea, kind of like pc's steam platform.

Really , it doesn't quite seem like that. Have you ever compared gaming on both units on the same tv with same internet connection ? I have and the ps3 sucks smile

Sorry I'm not a tech guy but if the cell processor is better or amount of calculations happening are more, why does the ps3 lack in graphics and just gaming in general when you compare them side by side ? Honestly I don't care about comparing whats inside the unit, I'm comparing my gaming experience.

Xbox controller is bigger too which is way more comfortable and has a better feel especially when you play for hours. Ps3 controller too flimsy and cheap, imo.

Just make sure your boss doesn't read our forums wink Looks like a cool game, I might pick it up.

On the other hand xbox vs ps3 debate, found some articles that pretty much sumed up my opinion on the two.

I find both controllers to be a touch flimsy myself, but you must have some serious sandwhich clamps to think the xbox control isn't too big haha

when you look at quality you have to compare game to game. It works best with proprietary engines like unreal engine or frostbite.
The ultimate test will be cryengine 3 used in crysis 2, which if you haven't heard about I suggest you get your reading hat on it looks stellar!

Tv makes a huge difference too but in terms of online play and lag, most games have gone into user hosted matches where the users own connection can also determine how good your connection will really be. IMO game dedicated servers are the way to go but it is kind of expensive and for consoles I don't know if they even do that.

Your right is does look big, and without using them both one would say the P3S looks more smaller and is thus better. I thought the same when I bought my xbox, actually thought they were pretty ugly.

After playing for hours, I realized my hand is much more comfortable and the buttons are placed more strategically than the PS3 controller. Use the Ps3 controller for a few hours and your hands will be shaking, tired, your thumb will get caluses, lol. Not to mention the triggers on the top of the controller are 10x better than the Ps3 ones which doesnt have any triggers at all. Just 4 buttons that all feel the same smile

I personally have both consoles and I say PS3 is better. I find the graphics better on the PS3 and am much more happier with it. I honestly would not use my 360 if it was not modded.

Killzone 3 is a good call. A buddy of mine picked it up and I was at his house on the weekend and we played a lot of the story on co-op. Only thing I was not happy about was that the story is the only place that has co-op, no co-op for bots and non for online multiplayer.

I would never mod my 360, don't want to make it worthless.

I love XBOX live and online play, I guess some people don't get to experience it tongue

You got to pay to play boys.

there is nothing wrong with the PS3 controller!!! We are taking this topic into the wrong direction. It's about killzone 3 for PS3 and not xbox360 vs ps3 & xbox controller vs ps3 controller tongue

-1 for Brandon. -10 if he's talking about world of Warcraft( the worst game ever)

overall though, killzone look like a good buy.

Personally I'm into strategy at the moment. Starcraft 2 is giving me some fun ATM .

You got to pay to play boys.

Mine is the only xbox I know that is modded and has not been ban on live so I get new games for 5$ and can play live. Its been about 3 years since I modded it. Shitty thing is I play once in a while now so its useless anyway lol. I also have both ps3 and 360 and I like the 360 controller better for playing games, same reasons as Reza pointed out.

Thats pretty interesting. I've heard you'll get zapped in no time if your playing online with a modded xbox. I could get mines modded for pretty cheap, I have just steered away from it so it doesn't compromise my online play.

That's 100% true, I know A LOT of people who got ban for using a modded 360, but mine has always cleared through the updates(someone told me they catch the modded ones through a update that happens every year? I don't know haven't played in a while) but mine always clears through. Its been 3 years and its going.

edit: why it clears through and doesn't get banned confused God knows lol. But I got it modded from the same person who modded all the other ones that got banned.

If you are smart and play it safe then your chances of getting banned on the xbox are very slim. IE don't go playing games that aren't officially released yet and that are leaked out a few days early. Run your games through the AGBX checker and make sure everything passes so it'll "look" like a real game to microsoft and there are a bunch of other different factors as well.

I enjoy my ps3 more and buy legit games on this system to play(GT5, street fighter, god of war, uncharted etc.) and I use the system A LOT to watch tv shows/movies. As for the xbox, I just got the system just so I can play free games and gears of war.

Xbox triggers are nice for shooters which is what I mostly play, but I prefer the PS controller as it's pretty much grown apart of me for the last 10+ years of gaming.

and back on topic, I downloaded the KZ3 demo to play and it's pretty good. Since my car broke down, I'll probably pick it up to play with the gf this weekend to keep occupied.

For online play 360 cant be beat. Ive been banned 3 times for playing games ear ly like halo3 and gears of war 2. Ive also been suspended 2 times, I guess other gamers dont like me winning all the time grin

My rep on xbox live is horrible im 29% preferred and 71% avoided lol

Is anybody here gonna play the gears of war 3 beta?

You can also get a mod chip that you can turn off, I've thought about getting one for mine but I don't know anyone that mods them.

Just one last comment about controllers. Dreamcast control = best ever.

Anywhos, no useful comment towards Killzone 3 other than I'm sure it is better than Halo.
