My old man built his own kitchen and well with the tools that he had to buy to build it all to his specific standards (Industrial engineer) I have to say yes kitchens are over priced (when your paying for them) But the boxes dont square themselves up on their own and...where else can you spend 10K and have it return sometimes double or more when you sell the house!!
Hats off to good kitchens!! You get what you pay for and more often then not in a kitchen you get more!! You just have to wait until you sell it!!

3 grads I know got jobs there recently (the Mississauga plant). Check Pratt & Whitney's online site, they have all the postings there including jobs other than at that plant. You can apply online easily.

Well they laid off half the plant over a year ago. They just finished a round of hiring for engineering but have already laid off some people in production. So I seriously doubt there will be jobs available for a while.

Unfortunate, I thought as much though. Took a tour of the plant last year through the school. I thought it was pretty interesting stuff.

Do you ever do the run from Sudbury to McKerrow to meet the train from the Soo?

I'm a senior dispatcher and occasional driver for a Taxi company here in the Soo. Our cabs bring the crew back and forth from McKerrow 6 nights a week to switch conductors and engineers on the Soo Crew.

The extra driving on the side pays for my addiction to boost.

No, that isnt anyone here in Sudbury. Are you sure that it isn't CP that goes to the Soo? I know there is a Soo run that goes up the Soo sub to OBA. Other than that no train from here. I run freight trains also, I think there might be a VIA that goes there.

Hey Blayne, you might know my cousin as he is a conductor, Derek Haynes!?

The name doesn't sound familiar, but there alot of guys that I have never met yet. I see the engineers cause I work with them, but not so much the conductors.

boring factory work during the day with valcamp and McClelland' Makin headlamps!

On the side I own and operate a mobile oil change business.

And then on the side I raise 2 kids.

This is why my car has taken sooooo long to get on the road!

Part time Unemployed..
The rest of the time trying to get my own mobile games company off the ground (Develop games, and some applications for iPhone and android).

Plan to go back to school in the fall though, might as well get a degree in something new rather than doing nothing smile

Just go hired as a line setup tech. And program tech for linamar. Also a licenced machinist. First time I ever had an office. But never any time to sit in it. Lol.

Im a Liscensed Tech (Auto Service Tech)
Have my interprovincial and service station ticket.
Thats full time.
I do Part time builds in my area. Not alot around here does this and knows what they are doing.
Sadly its mostly hondas. And I even baught into the Chrome liscense to tune them on my dyno!
But I do stick with Sport compacts.
I do get the odd treat tho. I turboed a 02 IS300 last year. And he was so pleased that he came back this year to have his engine built and looking for more power.

Everythings new. Updates will be soon.
