Herman is a great guy to deal with. Sent my spare turbo for inspection. Not only did I get a fantastic deal, unbeatable actually, but also was the one to give me the piece of advice needed to stop my car from smoking - had nothing to do the turbo.

Not to mention my turbo came back with a clean bill of health.

This guy's still in business, eh? I dropped down to his place a few years back and he was saying what with all the Chinese knockoffs coming into the market (which was the big fad at that time) it might put him out of business. Glad to hear he's still around. Definitely a good guy to shoot the sh*t with on things turbo. He still working out of his garage?

I had my a Turbo rebuild by him last year. Bloddy thing developed a bit a of a shaft play after less than 20 000km. I sent the Snail to Herman and he went through it. His findings were that the bloddy thing was not balanced out of Factory.

He rebuilded it and sent it back balanced within specs. Thing is now runnig like a top.

His before and after service excedded expectation so did his workmanship.

I emailed then followed up with a phone call. He was a bit slower on the email correspondance but very friendly and helpful on the phone.

Yeah, the guy didn't strike me as a fancy boy that checks his emails every 15 mins via his mobile device while sipping cafe-au-lait and reciting Proust. More of a walk-out-to-the-shop-and-get-his-hands-dirty kind of guy.

He'll let you talk his ear off about your problems though, as long as they're turbo-related.

Herman is a stand up guy. I had a problem with a holset he rebuilt for me. He stepped up and took care of the problem right away, noted it was his mistake and took care of everything right down to shipping. I would not hesitate to deal with him again.
