Wondering if anyone has had the same issue.....92 ESi 2L n/t, high oxides of nitrogen present on e-test, other results passed.
caused by high combustion temps/egr/carbon issues as I read up on it, has anyone had luck with cleaning the egr/pcv systems with such a concern? Car has a new'ish cat and is in fine running order, lower ks (160,000km). It is driven very easy (obviously not me driving it!! lol) and I suspect a few hard miles, carbon clean the pcv and combustion chambers and check egr thermo valve might do it...
Problem is, its on a conditional pass as is, and this is the last chance.
let me know of any suggestions you may have, much appreciated.
Hate to see her hit the wrecker....just 'cause she has gas...lol.
Thanks,

The main function of the EGR is to control NOX make sure it is operating and that all passages are cleaned out.
