Heard about this, this morning was curious if it was Marko's or a clients. Hopefully they can recover it before it gets stripped or shipped!

I have no idea why everyone is so "down" on this thief. Surely there was insurance on this vehicle?
A lot of guys would say: In that case, it is "covered", and therefore a "victimless" crime. Let the poor thief have some fun with a car he could never afford....He has probably had a tough time, and needed a little enjoyment....

Insurance is never going to give him what he has put into that car. So in the end, a car that he has spent a ton of time getting it to where it is, is going to cost him even more. Plus he has to hunt down a minty NSX so he can get it back to where it is.

I hope the guy gets his car back, that's horrible. I feel bad when someone looked through my old glove box when I left my dsm unlocked, make me feel bad man Couldn't imagine hearing it is gone. Especially when it's as rare of a car like the nsx, and the amount of money he put in it

Then you're assuming that the person doing the appraisal knows what he is looking at.
When I made my claim for a fire incident, the appraiser decreased the value because of the stock "cuts-outs" in the plastic lining behind the passenger fender for the SMIC. Nothing I said or showed him, mattered.
True, it's like judged sports in the olympics...but i guess even if you could get back 50% of what you put in, it doesn't make anything better, but it's better than nothing. It's really a shame. I'd be devastated if someone stole my Lancer, not cause its a half-decent car, but because all the hard work i put into it.
Sorry, I'm a Lancer kid.

Ah this again, like I said, committing a crime against an individual is not something I think is ok. Robbing a bank, lying to the government to save on taxes is fine tho, as long as no individual gets hurt. but anyways, having insurance doesn't mean sh!t unless he had the car appraised with all the current mods etc. Regular insurance on an NSX, I'm sure he would get maybe 15k for it.

Ziggy, there's more to this than just having insurance and letting them deal with it. Unlike you, some of us are friends with Marco and some know Rob and can vouch for him as being a stand-up guy who like us, put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into transforming his NSX into to what it was today – something insurance can’t replace. The reason why everyone is “so down on this thief” is to bring awareness and hopefully put enough “heat” on this theft that the car gets “dumped” somewhere and ultimately found – if it’s not already shipped out? You have used this forum to bring awareness on many topics of dealings with certain shops / individuals and this is no different. It’s letting the enthusiast community know about what happened. If you Google “NSX Stolen Magnus” you will see how many different forums have a thread on this topic. All these forums touch many different local clubs / enthusiasts and “awareness” has in the past been proven to find stolen cars.

Yes, I was being sarcastic. There are a few morons on this board who think some crimes are "victimless" because they are "covered". These clowns think it is OK to steal from government and big business, then bitch about taxes, insurance costs, etc. They are correct that if you steal from government you are not stealing from an individual, but they are too stupid to realize that if you steal from government you are stealing from EVERY individual. The reason our taxes and costs are so high is that TOO MANY people steal from the government and cheat the insurance companies. Somehow they can't grasp the concept that stealing is stealing, doesn't matter the amount or who was robbed, it is still THEFT, and ANY thief belongs in the same class as the person who stole this car.

If you Google “NSX Stolen Magnus” you will see how many different forums have a thread on this topic. All these forums touch many different local clubs / enthusiasts and “awareness” has in the past been proven to find stolen cars. You're quite right about this. I read not long ago about a "decked out" civic hatch that had been stolen and sold to someone, only to have the car found at a car club show. The original owner still had the spare key, jumped into the car started it. Then the new owner picked a fight with the original owner, anyway..long story short. There was a few thread topics on the car that had been stolen, which lead the original owner to believe that it may surface at this "car show" and low and behold, it was there. I'm sure the police had to get involved at that point and sorted out the mess. So yes, discussing the NSX having been stolen..can't do any harm, only good. WHAT A SAD LOSS THOUGH

Definitely some bullshit and these guys should get their hands cut off, but Magnus needs to hire some security or some sh!t, or keep these cars inside.
