Hello

I know that I previously asked the same question but I searched and could not find the old post.

One of the local guy here is trying to find a VW Tuning Software and Adaptor. What are you guys using; something that could be downloaded would be best. Also what OBDII Adaptor would work best???

Thanks

Ghislain

I don't think there is a software like DSMLink for the VW, I just know that the ECU is flashable. I haven't looked much into tuning software for a VW, I will ask on Vortex and maybe someone will have an idea.

there are all kinds of software programs just nothing like DSMlink there are giac revo unitronics and I know I am forgetting a key one as well. Some you just can upgrade their paths and pay for reflashes when required. Cool thing is some times you can get a demo trial version once you have the chip in it then see what the next level works like.

The idea would be to get a Laptop software; hopefully Freeware and a OBDI Adaptor that would allow him to reflash his ECU himself.

I found a few of the above suggested sulutions, I'll pass on the info.

I've got a Kerma Q-loader. You've got to buy tunes, but it's decent. It'll read codes like a VAG-COM but won't tell you exactly what's wrong. You still need to look the code up.

Look into a Malone Q-Loader as well; Malone tunes are some of the best.
