The car is a 1990 Eagle Talon TSi awd. The car has been sitting the whole winter waiting for summer. The battery was not in it. Anyway on to the problem. After doing a radiator flush and oil change I started it and everything seemed fine. It ran for 10 minutes. The next day when I went to start it I turned it over to the start position and the dash lit up for about 2 seconds than turned off. It sounded like there was a pop. When I turn it back to start and press clutch in nothing happens. I have the battery getting tested but if the battery comes back working could a fuse have blown?

Sounds like no juice.. Did you fully charge the battery before replacing it? Was the battery stored someplace warm? A dead battery will freeze and crack.

Make sure your terminals are clean, tight and properly seated on the post.
Give them a good twist when they are on if they move they are not tight.
Good point. I've had a lot of issues in the past due to corroded/dirty terminals.
A terminal/connector brush is $3-$5 at Canadian Tire/Part Source/Princess Auto/etc. and is always a good thing to use whenever (re)installing a battery. It's actually got 2 brushes - that top part twists off and it has a conical brush for cleaning inside the connectors that go on the terminals.

Well the battery was actually no good. And because it's a dsm I always keep my receipt . So a nice new battery goes in. That terminal brush cleaner is nice to use too I picked it up. Thank you for all the input.
