Can't stand the altezza lights either.

They look great the way they are without blacking them out. Leave em like that for a while!

This guy was my inspiration when I bought spares.

Super clean, but a bit darker than stock EVO 7's.

Latest update:
I've been waiting for this intercooler to be built for over a month, I'm happy to say it's finally here!

I wanted to upgrade the shitty eBay special intercooler that was on the car before. After seeing what was on the market, and talking to many vendors, I settled on the ETS intercooler. The guys are great and the product is excellent.

I can't wait to get this installed. The piping on this kit eliminates 2 feet of the stock piping and cleans up a lot of messy unnecessary bends that the stock piping had.

The piping is powdercoated wrinkle black, and they upgraded me to a 4" intercooler for FREE!

Mine was packed nice and snug.

Lots of packing peanuts, and a high density foam on both ends of the box. I'd blame the shipping company... Mine was shipped with UPS and we have all seen how they handle packages!

Here's my haul after a weekend full of driving!

[Linked Image]

[Linked Image]

-Carbon Creation carbon fiber EVO 8 hood (OEM style)
-VIS carbon fiber trunk (still don't know if I should leave it spoilerless or drill the holes. I'm leaning towards the clean look)

-XtremeStop drilled and slotted rotors and pads.
They are a Canadian company and apparently make some pretty good brakes. Their R&D is funded by the Canadian government. I decided to give these a try because the price was right, and I've gone a little overboard with my budget! I'll report back on how they compare to my tired Power Slots and EBC redstuff pads!

-Amsoil 10W30 Dominator racing oil.
We all know how much proper lubrication is important!

The trunk lid is stupid light. I think attaching the wing is going to make the lid ass heavy and put more wear on it than you want.

Also, they're only gel coated. The boys in my body shop highly recommended clearing them to protect against UV rays. And of course, we're all drooling. smile

Agreed.

Also...the tailpipes. What the hell is going on with those pipes sticking so far out the back they need a little orange flag hanging off them?

Hahaha, theres SO many evo's in the US that you need to do something that goes against the grain (esthetically) to get noticed!

If you think the rims and tailpipe are ugly then check this out!

Less than 24 hours on the road and already a horror story.

The girlfriend and I went out for dinner and a movie, after the movie finishes, I come out to a smashed passenger window, an eff'd up dash and hacked up harness. Upon further inspection, some personal items were stolen as well.

What the hell is wrong with some people?

The carnage:

If I caught someone doing this to my car. I'd probably go to jail.
And if I didn't catch them I'd hunt them down.

That's absolutely ridiculous.

It makes no sense to me how someone can steal from someone like that. It's like they think that you didn't have to work hard to pay for that. And for some reason they deserve it.

Really sorry to hear about the robbery, man. frown

Not only that but causing a thousand dollars in damage(not sure what the actual figure is) so that they can get a hundred dollars for a deck.

Sorry to hear about this.

Terrible things would happen if I ever caught someone doing that to my 15year old DSM.

Very sorry Jay, that is disgusting. What is wrong with some people today? It is a sad commentary on the state of our society.

Sorry to hear. I absolutely hate people who do that to cars in general but even more so to people who do it to nice cars. Even when it's just not caring and smashing your car with their door when they open it. People have no sense of responsibility and common decency. These are the times I kind of wish the old "steal something...get one of your fingers/hands cut off" from the old times come back. No being a slap on the wrist anymore if they get caught should scare them stiff, and if not....it'll definitely make them remember it.
