Hello,

Just wanted to take a minute to explain about myself and my shop.

My name is Tyler and I am the owner/operator of Seven Automotive located at 1251 Gorham Street Unit 3 in Newmarket (minutes from 404 and Mulock). I have been a member of this site for many years as I used to own a 91 Talon TSI AWD. I'm sure I have met many of you either buying or selling parts or at one of the many Yorkdale meets I used to attend. After years of modding my Talon and LOVING AWD and turbo, I got my hands on my 2001 Subaru Impreza coupe. My Impreza now has a built 2.5L bottom end with built 2.0L heads and a GT30r currently making 426AWHP but I will be turning up the boost shortly to see what it can really do smile

I am a licensed automotive Technician with 10 years experience. I apprenticed with Chrysler but have spent the past 5 years working for Toyota until recently when I opened the doors to my own Shop, Seven Automotive.

We perform all general maintenance and repairs, alignments, tires, A/C, diagnostics, and PERFORMANCE UPGRADES, as well as specialty services such as fender rolling. We also carry a wide variety of performance and aftermarket parts.

As an introductory offer and a thank you for the many years of great help and knowledge I have received from this site I would love to offer something back to the community.

Seven Automotive is pleased to offer a 100% FREE vehicle inspection to all club DSM members.

As well, please do not hesitate to call us with any questions as we are ALWAYS happy to help.

Look forward to talking with many of you soon and hopefully make it out to a meet again soon (with my Impreza).

Thank you

- Tyler

If it weren't for the distance, I'd be all over this (need my car safetied before I drive it)

Good to know....You can't imagine how many times I am asked to recommend a shop with some DSM knowledge....and recently there has been NO-ONE that I am willing to recommend...

I am sure I will be sending some people your way smile

Vote of confidence. Nice!

I've posted a link to your website specials and prices on my Facebook page Tyler.

I'm sure there are many that want some maintenance done before winter and winter preparedness.

Forgot to add, congrats on owning your own shop! tu Being your own boss after years of work has to be a nice bonus and one worth the praise laugh

I will say that a shop knowledgeable in DSMs that does good work at fair prices is something the DSM world has been lacking for a while now. I realize you're not intending to work ONLY on DSMs (you're probably aware it isn't a big enough market to make a living), but if people's experience with you is positive, you'll almost certainly see a lot of DSMers come your way.

I thought so, but wasn't sure. Well, I wish you well in your business, if you need a supplier for DSM parts (or other parts you aren't in a rush for), I know a good supplier wink

No, they should be referred to as very, very rich people laugh
OR soon to be very, very poor people wink

HAHAHAHA well most DSMers do work on their own cars. However, there are certain limitations when at home working on jack stands and killing your back wink For example, there was a red 2G with a huge FMIC at the tranny shop beside me two weeks ago.

Hey Tyler,

Do you also do safety certification?

I am actually just in the process of all the paper work so I can sign safeties. Unfortunately everything government related seems to take forever.

I still do safeties right now but I have my neighbour sign them for the time being...

This is a must unless you have deep pockets. Especially if you plan on racing your DSM one way or another. Actually almost everyone who has a DSM has some sort of crazy goals for it.

ANY real tuner knows how you must do EVERYTHING yourself to stay on top of the game!

No, I will not be getting an emission test dyno. Not worth the money, plus they are changing the entire system soon. I have another neighbour who does e-tests though smile
