Anyone ever have a problem with your headlights opening and closing uneven? I set the lights fully closed and the passenger light opens all the way but then keeps going and shuts half way, same with closing, it will close all the way then itll open half way, even if you set it with the other one.

Gunna try swaping the motor with a spare i have but if anyone has had this experience please let me know.

you guys do know theres a button on the dash that controls the lights seperatly right? Mine would not go down .. after a week someone told me to hit the manual button and they worked fine again.

But my lights were always uneven. It looked mentally handicapped when I turned on the lights. One before the other lol. And the arm kept falling off so half the time i got in my car and turned the lights on.. id have to get out and hand raise one of the lights. So mine stayed up all the time.

Yeah, so push the button to make them the one go up and then push the button again to make them both go down? I usually just lift the hood when I get home and turn the thing that makes them go down.

This is why I bought a 1gb in 91 instead of a 1ga. Never like the pop ups. Sounds like you have a limit switch issue Kyle.

When you hit the light switch or button you can hear the motor turning so motor is good.Spray WD40 on the joints that move light up/down,about six on each frame. You may have to move it manually once or twice but keep using WD40 & they should free up.

Yeah I am with Jay, use something oil based. WD40 is water based.

I like Fluid Film myself. But ya, lube all the joints. They get stiff over the years. Mine would go up but not down, a shot of lube and all is good.

WD 40 is Petro and mineral oil based. It was first make to displace water in Americas Nuclear Missle Silo's.

It is a great rust penetrator. The biggest problem is it is also corrosive. Always make sure you use some kind of lube after.

Kyle. If you have a wiring diagram I might be able to point you in the right direction for testing.

It should be in the motor. I always forget about your guys having multiple DSM and tons of spare parts.

WD-40 is kerosene based, according to the motorcycle world. I use it to clean my chain (then lube it/wax it). Also use it to clean the bike followed by a waterbased degreaser like castrol superclean. PB Blaster is a staple in my garage. Fluid Film is a great rust inhibitor, some people do their whole cars in it.

Sorry I cant help your headlight problem, never even looked at a pop up assembly.

Their website (WD-40) says it does not contain kerosene... but contains a petroleum product.
