With the new year, just realized that yesterday was my 10th Anniversary owning DSMs. Except for that first winter in 2003 when I continued to drive my last Colt, it's been all DSMs since. There are still a few original DSM owners hanging around, and I recall a post years ago when someone showed a picture of their odometer with over 400,000!

Plenty of you guys are just fair weather or track day drivers but I'd like to hear from other daily drivers how many KMs they have racked up in DSMs. At about 270,000 myself between 6 DSMs.

I bought my GST back in May of 2007, with 120,000km on it, now it sits at 215,000km. It's my daily driver from May to October, I bought it to drive, not sit in my garage.

My current 1g has over 400k. Being my 4th DSM since 1997, I have done a cumulative of over half a million km's in the driver seat of a DSM wink As ghey as it sounds I could have driven around the Earth more than 12 times by now in a talon shuffle

Bought my gsx in '07, had 79 miles and now has 104'ish. So what is that? 50kms..at best? Lol may not have a lot of dsm experiance but I'm coming from restoring muscle cars with my father and having an '82 trans am, '90 t2 rx7, 95 240sx le, '00 SiR, many honda's (civics, accords) and toyota's, mazdas, had an mx-3,and 5 (miss that one, '95 mx-6 v6 black on black 5spd..bahh the list goes on. And I've pretty well always done my own work, including body work. Now that I think about it, I've owned in excess of 30 cars to date. Not all on the road, some for parts and others as small projects. I spent my child hood at drag strips with my fam..they all ran vettes, stangs, gto's, camaros..only my fathers '72 gto was able to break into the 11's. And some day, hope to break that with the eclipse smile

Bought my 2G maybe 3 years ago, it had ~208,000kms, and now she has ~220,000kms on her, driven over a total of maybe 7months max.

What a trip so far. laugh

@Mike E> You've been keeping info from us you muscle head. That MX-6 turbo'ed? Was a fun car, my cousin's husband had one.

Put about 15k on mine in 6 months of regular driving. If that. Hoping to hit at least 25-30k driven in her by the time she goes away this October.

Does make-believe km count? I look at both of mine one stored and the other not legal yet and I dream of tons of kms with the wind in my hair and the turbo spooling whistling its accompanying tune while the wheels grip on an endless smooth road...that counts right? rotate tongue

Not to go off subject, but Welland has great smooth roads. I was surprised myself, but they do.
