Well this year I will be running Slicks for the first time And Im looking for suggestions.
Up to now I have been running my 18s with just street tires. Got as good as a low 11. But my biggest enemy was having it hop off the launch. And its only then it breaks something.
Again, I have never run slicks So whats some upgrades that can be done to limit "hop" off the launch.
Im running a 2G AWD with 24.5X8X15 slicks.
I have upgraded suspension bushings and Engine mounts. And plan to change over to a Coil Over suspention to stiffen it up.
Just looking for other ideas.
Thanks

Everythings new. Updates will be soon.

Not that I have much insight to offer on the topic, but what are you running as far as a drivetrain and clutch go, assuming you're running a manual?

Yes, I have a 5 speed with a "jacks" internal which I find works fairly well. And shimmed to race specs thanks to some fine fellas on here.
Running a Twin disc clutch.
Solid aluminum bushings in the rear end with a steele cover.
Upgraded rear axles
Thats all I can think of right now as far as drive line goes.

Say goodbye to wheel hop once you get the slicks. Been there and done that while my car was much slower than it is now. I have broken center diffs, t-cases and u-joints from wheel hop. Even if it doesn't hop and you just light them up in first, its gonna hook when you nail 2nd, then you break something. The 18" wheels with low profile tires was your problem wink

I have a set of Aluminium Rear Diff Bushings (set of 3) that you could benefit from. Let me know if you need them.

Thanks. But I posted above that I have them already. Was a great addition to the drive line. But you sure can feel it.
