Does any one know where I can get the “reclining knob” for the driver’s seat for my 1990 Talon?
The manual calls the “reclining knob” the plastic handle that pivots the front seat-back forward to allow access to the back seat.
Has anyone ever broken this handle? It seems kind of flimsy but maybe after 23 years plastic can deteriorate.
Thanks,

Reclining knob...really? Lets keep this P.G. shall we!

Seriously though, all the plastic down there is all pretty flimsy. I broke off my forward back one on my 2g first time I used it. I don't think the engineers were really thinking about us talking about that part on a forum 23 years later! Just wait for someone to have a part-out and grab it!

In the mean time can you wrap it with a piece of painters tape or something?

I found a guy on Ebay that dismantles DSMs and sells their parts. I got the knob for only $12. I think that was a good deal considering that I did not trek through muddy salvage yards to find parts.

I've ordered from them in the past. Fair pricing, cheap shipping, and very helpful staff.
They have my +1

Same, I've dealt MANY times with him. Great guy to deal with. He's on ebay as well (easier to search for parts). Shipping is the only issue from him, since the price hike from the post, it ain't cheap tongue

Hmm, I got a whole whack of parts up here for next to nothing considering the size.

Weird, mine cost me about the same in shipping as it did for the parts (interior hatch trim, although they are big).

I ordered 2 fenders, tail lights, and a ton of other parts. All said and done, I was only out just shy of 200.

Not bad, guess you got lucky. Just a pair of fenders is usually around 70-90$ to ship from the States.
