It was possibly the best DSM turnout I've ever seen, it was an absolute pleasure to see you all again and to meet the rest of you west end guys.

Awesome turnout. Great to put faces to many DSM'ers names. And good to see the one's I already know. That was a full force of dsm's today. And a couple of evo's and a galant plus one subie and thankfully the only honda had 2 wheels.

It's been a while since I made it to a DSM meet! It was nice meeting some of you, and seeing the rest of you again.

Of course, since I didn't actually have a DSM I opted to try and fit in by "pulling a PPG" and missing the 1-2 shift on my way out. smile

Now, I'll have all kinds of time to talk about DSMs, because I won't be busy fixing mine!

Terry dude...i have an even newer found love for your 2G after driving behind you.

Absolutely love the upward angled exhaust and going over a bump could see how tight your suspension setup is.

What is your exhaust and suspension setup

@ Manny, much appreciated!

The exhaust is a HAFE 2g exhaust manifold (ceramic coated), tubular o2 housing(ceramic coated), 3" megan downpipe, 3" vibrant metal core cat welded into the downpipe, 3" FWD N/T cat-delete catback from a buddy who bought it in the states and a CSR Racing muffler.

The Suspension is skunk2 coilovers, tokico illumina struts, 19mm 3g eclipse swaybar, tubular 3g eclipse upper and lower control arms and a complete swap of all the bushings to energy suspension bushings.

I absolutely love the way she handles, everything works together nicely.

Haha Manny, the backfire is funny at first then annoying, then you just live with it.

As soon as you get some bigger injectors in there you will be in the same boat.

Definitely just send me a text and come on by.

I've had the exhaust for 2 seasons now and still don't get sick of the sound she makes when I bounce off of the rev limiter. I can't wait till next season when I'll actually be able to use the anti-lag option on Ecmlink with the added traction of AWD.

@Mike i'd be down for one for sure

@Terry its the muffler angled up and slightly to the side that does it for me. I hope this isn't a stupid question but what would i look for in exhaust kits to ensure i have the muffler in that position similar to the one in the link below

Apex'i N1 is slightly angled as well. Here's a picture of it on my old Spyder. But I agree with you... there's a few exhausts that may perform well, but don't end up looking right on 2gs. I've seen some that stick out too far from the bumper, making them look "off"

the thermo research exhaust on Rick Bouders car. 97 Talon i parted out looked awsome. The tip actually pointed up but the muffler was level.

I actually would prefer the muffler to look angled up as well, love how you can see the piping before the muffler from behind Terry's 2G...really wish i was friends with someone who has access to a mandrel bender lol

@manny, most aftermarket fwd exhausts (from my experience) I've seen are routed 'over' the rear sub frame adding unnecessary bends and totally killing the possibility of angeling up and out. try to find one that goes under your sub frame. I made sure that my muffler was at the right angle and distance from the bumper when i got her welded on.

If I can't make my exhaust work with the awd setup I'll have to sell it, I REALLY don't want to so I'm going to enlist the help of my fabricator to see if we can get it to work, if its impossible to make work...maybe we could make a deal.
