Don't need the pump itself, but found out that there is a pinhole leak in my hard line. If you have one on hand please let me know asap. fourones!x eight59 93five6

Stephan best to do the bulkhead conversion.
You can throw some JB weld to keep the fuel in, it did a good job for a little bit while I was getting my bulkhead ready.

The sending unit drove me up the wall, so I'm thinking I may need an entire replacement.

I messaged you John, mine might still be okay.

I once ran into a leak somewhere in my line/sending unit. It frustrated me so much that I could never find it I ripped everything out and did braided lines to and from the rail with the bulkhead.

I don't suggest you let it get the best of you

This 1G has been awful to work on. Right after I finally snap 6 of 4 bolts that hold the unit onto the tank and pull it, I go to lock the doors and the drivers side door panel caught on something and partly fell off.

I'm leaning towards rerouting the fuel line at this point. They easy to route in a 1G?

if you broke off the studs, that is going to be a problem.

reuse the holes that are already there for the brakelines and fuel lines and just add those things that ziggy sells to hold the lines there.
I can take a picture if you want to see mine.

Yeah, all but two studs are broken and gone, the studs for the electrical wires are broken and the top of the unit needs to be bent back. Apparently this can all be fixed though.

A picture would help, thanks Bryan.

Yeah there are a few options for the studs.
The JB welding in nuts and bolts is not the option I would take as that's what I have now and they love to break loose.
Let me know how you decide to fix yours.
Here is a pic from my build thread and a picture of the thing up close

I though the broken studs were the ones attaching the sending unit to the tank? I think this is a common problem, and not that easy to fix.

They are not as close as they were before, probably about 6" between them.

6" away from a hot exhaust, judging from the black hose I would assume non teflon lined (ie fuel vapors permeate through the hose).... Your braver then I bomb

LOL, from what I have read braided nylon is good for heat, as long as I don't have an exhaust leak shooting right at it I should be ok.
Maybe some heat shielding is needed.
Now you have me paranoid, just found this routing and might take that option.

What about the fuel in the line? Think its good for heat?

Mine is routed the exact same way. For a moment I thought I was looking at my car. PTFE lines all the way.

LOL touche

Reza just googled the PTFE lines, where did you get them from? Looks better for under the car.

PTFE = Teflon lined. Lots of places carry this, including . . . guess who!
