Hello,

About 2 years ago, I set about rebuilding my Talon. Life had gotten in the way (In good ways, and busy ways, but still in the way). As of today, I realized I need to just sell off the Talon.

It is a 1998 Silver Tsi AWD. It has a 1G Block (rebuilt) with a 2G head. It was running aggressive cams, had been modified with a Walbro 255, had a small 16G. The exhaust was stainless (but not stainless beads, which is annoying). I had recently mounted up big Mustang brakes. The Tranny is new. All in all, if I had the time, it could be made into a decent car.

There's far too many parts to talk about. I don't want to part it out, I simply want someone to take it for about $1000. They can part it out themselves. If this doesn't work, I'll simply take a few of the major parts, and have it towed for weight.

I'll post pictures, hopefully tonight.

I may have a buddy very interested in this. Soon as you have more info I'll pass it on.

(This is a copy/paste from a response to a long-time member).

Of course it has one shock tower that's needing replacement. So if that scares you off, read no further.

The fact is, the tranny blew. I got a new one. While that blew, I then decided to upgrade, and got way over my head too quickly. The engine needed to be rehoned and put back together (did that). But in the mean time, I had sold DSMLink2.0 and bought a full AEM system. And routed the battery back. And... and it just got out of hand. At this point, it would require so much work, and I have 2 boys now that take 190% of my time.

So I can't put it back together. Is it likely going to take a few hundred bucks somewhere as it goes back together? Yea. That's not really an issue to me. But the time, I do not have it. Every day, I chose to play games or teach them something rather than roll under the car and turn a wrench.
