Have for sale a bracket that's used to mount a fire extinguisher under the front of the passenger seat on 2g OEM seats.

Easy install, just remove two factory bolts & attach with the included hardware. Location actually works really well, its almost out of site but still easy to get at & it doesn't bother passengers when sitting in the seat.

Here's a link showing more info on the bracket:

http://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/fire-extinguisher.365123/#post-152226288

Comes with everything to install (the red mounting bracket shown in the link is not included, this should come with whatever extinguisher you buy). This bracket is just pain aluminum (didn't bother to paint/coat it as it's not seen when installed). Looking for $40, only selling as I no longer have OEM style seats installed.

I may grab this from you, just need to read the article you posted and I'll get back to you. Although that stress test was done via Catia's FEM analysis, which isn't the best. Not that I see too much relevance in doing a stress test on it, just saying.

What size extinguisher does it fit?

Will it work with a 1g? If so I would be interested.

Gui they mention an extinguisher in the article, I am sure there is specs so we could figure out what size.

I have the Ansul FE-36 2.5 lb, that they also use in the link (probably run you ~$200 with the current exchange). May be possible to run slightly larger but haven't verified.

As for FEM, I've lapped the car & the guys who designed it both lap & auto-x their cars. Pretty sure it will hold up fine in your garage queen tongue

No idea if it would work with a 1g seat.

Consider it sold to me then smile I'll send you my info and all that via pm

Yeah I was just saying that CATIA isn't the right tool for FEM. I know this thing will hold well, just don't see the relevance in doing a stress test at all on a piece like this.

I just want it as a "if I need it, it's there tool" not only for me, but just in general. Garbage truck was on fire on Dixie and Steeles yesterday. tongue

Bryan, you're more than welcome to come check it our and see if it could fit the 1g, won't be installed right away.
